My mother-in-law when she was 17, had her daughter adopted out when she was 3 days old. It was a private adoption, so she didn't know where she went. WEll, in 1998, Oregon passed the law when you reach the age of 21, that you can open your birth records if you are adopted.
WEll, Layne(my mother in law) has been waiting for her daughter to contact her, because she didn't know how to find her daughter.
WEll, about 2 weeks ago, her daughter called her, and they talked for a LONG time, and the best part is, her daughter is coming up to the family gathering for the holidays!!!
I had to share that with everyone, so, there ya go.
