What type of magic do you like to use? I like to use what ever works for the occasion/situation.

I didn't vote as I don't see a distinction between the three. *shrugs* To me there's no such thing as "black" or "white" magick.

I am as well. Magic is magic, whether it is used resposibly or not (that goes for white, black, grey, green, etc.) is really what makes the difference. At least in my mind.

Same here, magick doesn't have a color, it's how you use it that makes all the difference...

Same as above. It`s the person doing the magic is responsible for the results they get.

I voted Does It Matter. The real question is this, do you live by the rede or no.
And it harm none do what ye will....
If you are refering to Voodoo, curses, hexes etc by black magick then no I don't do black magick, that will get you in deep you know what. Besides the blood thing I mean ewwwww.
If by green you mean kitchen magick, herbs, oils etc.... yeah I do that.
White Magick??? OK I admit I'm clueless.
I'm just a practical witch, I do not do magick for others unless they fully understand the consequences. I cast spells and chant all day long. I do believe in Kharma and am not willing to suffer a threefold curse of my own making!
I think I answered maybe kinda sorta :D

I don't live by the rede. I think it's unrealistic. I'm going to end up harming someone in almost all my actions no matter what. I'm not going to accept moral guilt that applies to all harm that i might cause on top of when i know i did a bad thing; I'm also not going to accept it when i know what i did was a good thing.
But back on topic ... (sorry)...
magic is magic is magic.

Well first, I'm pretty sure the colour is meant to indicate what you're using the magick for or what your intent is, or "how it's used".
white - healing stuff, good stuff, blessings
black - hexing, cursing, destructive stuff
grey - somewhere in between
green I assume is similar to grey or perhaps it points to the use of herbs and kitchen witchcraft?
So, my magick is any colour that is appropriate at the time. And no, I don't follow the Rede either ;)

Mine is pink and orange and the colors of the ocean and the sunrise......I don't make a distinction and follow the Rede to the best of my understanding.

I am with all the others, magic is magic, and I follow the rede to the best of my knowledge.

I don't ascribe any color to magic... and I don't follow the rede.

For me, like many, it depends on the situation. However, I don't intentionally, try to hurt anyone. So I guess, in a sense, I do follow the Rede, though, I am not Wiccan.

i AM Wiccan, and i try to cause no intentional harm.
as far as magick goes, i believe in balance, so i use all the colors of the spectrum.

I believe it is all in your intent... but I do use white and green candles for my healing magic.... I also use black when I feel bad energy around for I believe it burns up the bad energy... but doesn't really create bad energy.... black and orange are just so fun for this time of year.... Hallows Eve.. (I hope I spelled that right) *

I use magick, but don't really have a name or color to put with it... if I am doing something and I feel the need to incorporate a color, I will visualize the color needed...

I don't do much magick, but when I do, it's generally elemental. Therefore I use the color of the element I'm using. I don't follow the rede either, that's a wiccan thing I guess, and I'm not a wiccan.

I work with whatever energies feel right for the situation, or are required :)

Quoth manstranger:

I'm not going to accept moral guilt that applies to all harm that i might cause on top of when i know i did a bad thing; I'm also not going to accept it when i know what i did was a good thing.
Two points of contention, here:
First: it's not the Rede that's unrealistic, only your interpretation of it. The Wiccan Rede is more than "Harm None." It gives you the freedom to do what you will if your actions harm none; and it compels you to accept the consequences of those actions if they will bring harm upon another, before you actually commit yourself to the action.
Second: Good intentions do not excuse ill-conceived or harmful action. If I hurt someone else through my words or deeds, I don't have carte blanche to tell them, "It's not my fault because I didn't mean to hurt you." Regardless of what is intended, you are always responsible for the consequences of your own actions.
Now, to answer the poll. . . :) My "color of choice" varies, based on how I feel and what I'm trying to do with the energy. But whatever else it might be, it tends to carry the azure and silver hues of my personal energy.

I don't strictly follow the rede cause I'm not wiccan........but it is a good axiom to live by as well as you can,,,,,,,,,,

I also see magick as neutral like many others here.
I also live mainly by the Rede BUT I also use magick in case of self defense so no "love and light" to possible enemies. If someone tries to harm me, s/he will get it back. I just try to live my path between Celtic and Wicca.
