Buffalo wings are one of the few foods I miss as a vegetarian.

But they do taste better with celery than bananas.

What of the bananas?

The article didn't say, but do you suppose there were 30,000 pounds of them?

. . . did I really just get a Kingston Trio reference?

(I know, its Harry Chapman, but me loves the Kingston Trio real good.)

He was a young driver,
just out on his second job.
And he was carrying the next day's pasty fruits
for everyone in that coal-scarred city
where children play without despair
in backyard slag-piles and folks manage to eat each day
about thirty thousand pounds of bananas.

Yes, we have no bananas,
We have no bananas today
(And if that wasn't enough)
Yes, we have no bananas,
Bananas in Scranton, P A

(Harry, it sucks!)

A woman walks into her room where her child lies sleeping,
and when she sees his eyes are closed,
she sits there, silently weeping,
and though she lives in Scranton, Pennsylvania
She never ever eats ... Bananas
Not one of thirty thousand pounds .... of bananas

(copyright Harry Chapman blah blah blah)

Poor buffalo. :(

Agreed...not a noble way to go for a buffalo...

( On the great plains in the sky..."So how'd you go?"..."Arrow?"
"Gun?"..."No , I got hit by a banana truck"...Hilarious buffalo
laughter heard rumbling across the sky...poor buffalo...:uhhuhuh:...)

Ok, Shawn, you get a pie in the face for that one. And the pun about "peeling out".

from the article:

Forsyth said the buffalo hit by the car apparently survived and ran off. The one hit by the truck was killed.

A buffalo is a pretty big animal, but a semi is bigger.

This is one of these once-in-a-lifetime freak accidents.
