I'm doing this spread from Mary K. Greer (http://marygreer.wordpress.com/2008/08/12/your-major-arcana-mirror/) - and am a bit stuck on a section of the spread. I'm using the Llewellyn Tarot.
Mind giving me some assistance?
Column 2:
Ideal : Death
Middle Way: Justice
Shadow: Temperance
:cutie: I appreciate any insight ya'll have to offer.
its a rough combination for me.
Okay - here's some insight I got (naturally) after posting here.
As an ideal, death is about dealing with closure, the natural end of things, release, freedom, and growth through change. This is something that I'd like to be better at, because I rather suck when it comes to some of that.
Temperance is about harmony and all, but sometimes its not a good thing to "go with the flow" - sometimes behaving with a graceful and calm exterior isn't what's needed. I can sometimes be a rather "don't rock the boat" kinda girl.
And at times, I don't get closure or grow because I don't challenge myself to speak out or to do what I need to do out of fear of causing trouble for others.
and that's where Justice comes in. Justice says for me to do what I need to do, and accept the consequences. To be reasonable and thoughtful in my approach, but not to stifle my sense of honor and to be more careful about the compromises and sacrifices I make. Because those sacrifices have hampered me from attaining my goals of closure and growth.
so what do ya'll think?
I'm still up for other ideas though.
