Ren Fairs

First off, I know there are a few Ren Faire threads, if you want to express your feelings for RFs, go there. I just thought It'd be good to have a thread dedicated to costumes. Mainly ours here at MW. Not just the Ren Faire goers, but those like me who have costumes, but no (current) way of going to one. Or this could be used as a way of getting opinions of a costume before going to a RF.

this is the only "potential Ren Faire" dress I own. My grandmother sewed it. I don't possess the patience... :p

I Do a bit of costuming, this week i've been working on some garb for my sister and brother in law for Ren fest. Next week I get to start on mine:p
Maren, the dress looks fine to me, a bit shiny , but nice none the less:cool:

yeah, I noticed the shiny too. It was made for me back in 10th grade for a report on Anne Boleyn. I even remember complaining about it, but my grandmother was the one who sewed it, and wal-mart isn't always the best place for fabric. I wanted plain navy blue, like in a pic of Anne. I wish for authenticity. Apparently wishing isn't worth a hill of beans when you're in the 10th grade. Oh well, I still like it nontheless. :)

Both of the dresses were beautiful. If I do get to go, I'll be going the route of Renaissance glasses as well. :)

My sister and I are going to open a booth at the Saturday Market(the big Market of Portland Oregon), and guess what we are going to be selling? Reinassaunce style clothing and accessories.

Her and I both love the style of clothing, and, if we could afford to make all the dresses we wanted, would only wear that style, but, work does require other outfits, and such, but we still wear them when we can, even though it's not top Ren Fests... *pout*
