will be interesting to see the results of the DNA and other tests.

I don't think anything is going to come of this. It's probably going to end up being a bear or some other known species. How do I know this?

Among the creatures's other physical characteristics of the body -- according to the hunters website -- http://www.searchingforbigfoot.com/ -- were flat feet similar to human feet. Its footprint is 16 ¾ inches long and the length from palm to tip of the middle finger is 11 ½ inches long.

If this were a bigfoot, I think they would be highlighting the head and the face more than big flat feet... If it were a bigfoot the human or ape-like face/head would be the most notable thing about it. The fact nothing is said about that makes me feel this is probably just a bear.

You're, probably, right.

If the body had been found in the Pacific Northwest instead of Georgia, I might start to get concerned about the whereabouts of my brother's big, hairy, doofus friend from high school.

The pictures are on the website mentioned in the article.
http://www.searchingforbigfoot.com/

There is one picture of the guys that found it and another of the creature packed into a freezer for shipping.

Doesn't look like a bear, the face is too flat.

Doesn't look like my brother's friend, either.

It looks to me like a man in an ape-suit. Perhaps what happened was someone dressed themselves up as bigfoot and started stomping through the woodlands in an attempt to create a hoax, but then things got out of hand and someone shot him, and then later the body was found and that's what we have here...

I wouldn't conclude anything definitive on this very limited evidence. I'm waiting for the DNA results.

I can't see the pictures, for some reason, they don't seem to load up (is something wrong with the site?), but, I don't think it's a person, I'm sure, medical people aren't that dumb, that they'd mistake a dead human, in an Bigfoot costume, for an actual Bigfoot.

Maybe, it was a bear, or some kind of ape.

I have to admit that the face does not look very realistic but I'd resist passing judgement until the DNA and examination are complete, unless this is just another 'look at me I'm in the press hoax"!

I still can't see it :sadman: :(. It might be a hoax, 'cause, if it were really BigFoot, it would be on every news channel, and MW is the only place I've read about it.

Dude it was on CNN.

I think it looks like a Wookie. Perhaps there was a Star Wars convention in the wilderness that went horribly wrong?

No, no...it looks more like Chewie's cousin's stepsister's boyfriend's brother's "domestic partner"/roommate.

Looks like a pain in the ass to drag around. If its a hoax, these people need better things to do.

I still can't see it! :sadman: :( :sniffsnif.

Maybe, Han Solo got sick and tired of Chewie, or, maybe, it was revenge for running off with Princess Leia!.

Although, I agree with BlackLili, if it's a hoax, they need a life :).

One of the two samples of DNA said to prove the existence of the Bigfoot came from a human and the other was 96 percent from an opossum, according to Curt Nelson, a scientist at the University of Minnesota who performed the DNA analysis.

Its official, its Percy the Perverted Possum!:hehehe:

So, it's a Possum (I still don't know what this, though?), like I said in that other thread, just below this one, it proves it isn't Bigfoot, and, again like I said, did they really think they could trick the international world?, it might have worked down at their local bars, and they may have got a, or some, free drinks, but, they can't trick the world.

Although, I'm a little confused, as to how human, and Possum DNA ended up on it, perhaps, it's not Percy the Perverted Possum, but, the guys who "found" it, that are the perverts ;) :giggle:.

Just as I said. I turned out to be right, but this is one of the few times where I wish I wasn't right... I really wanted this to be real and to know Bigfoots exists, but I had my doubts from the beginning.

It is possible Bigfoot exists, though. I will keep hoping he turns up eventually...

A Possum (or Opossum) is a small marsupial mammal creature that inhabits North America. It is the only marsupial animal that exists outside of Australia, curiously enough, and it doesn't exist in Europe or anywhere else so that may be why you never heard of it.

Here is a picture of one:

http://berealct.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/possum.jpg

How someone could mistake that for a Sasquatch is beyond me... :woah:

http://home.earthlink.net/~frontporchmusic/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/possum07.jpg

Notice how the parent carries the babies along just like a Kangaroo or Wombat? That's because it's a Marsupial, but yet amazingly this isn't an Australian creature. :woah:

They still might be out there, they just be good hiders, maybe, they don't want humans to find them.

Thanks, I think I've heard of Possom's before, there's this Autralian Soap Opera called, Neighbours (http://neighbours.com.au/) (& here (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=Neighbours&meta=)) (I'm not sure, if you get it in the U.S.?), and, I think, they've mentioned Possum's before, although, are those ones you posted only native to the U.S.?.

I'm confused, though, how in the Hell could anyone mistake that for Bigfoot, and, why was there human DNA on it (perhaps, we've stumbled onto one of Georgia's darkest secrets, Possum-loving!).

Dude that picture looks like Mickey Mouse got ahold of some bad drugs!:bug:

:giggle:, well, you know, how Micky is such a crackhead, and a stoner too, it's all those hours he works, and, you try being really old, and still expected to be in Florida, California, Paris, etc, and do TV programmes, etc ;)!.

Now here's an odd thought. What if the creature known as Bigfoot is really a humanoid marsupial. Wouldn't be the first time science trashed an identification because it didn't confirm the theory.:hehehe:

That would be interesting, although, I think we already have seen those - Mickey and Minnie Mouse, so, how much of a shock would they be! :giggle: (sorry if that was a bad joke, but, I just can't help thinking that picture above looks like Mickey, on drugs, like brymble said!).
