why do people cheat?

a friend of mine , has been with his s.o. for about a year now.he has caught her cheating on him twice now.why does crap like that happen?im pretty much always honest,religeously , in relationships.i dont get how ppl can be so heartless.o well, any thoughts?

Sometimes people cheat because there is something missing for them in a relationship or because they have a need to know they are still attractive to people other than thier mate. Some people just don't care. I knew someone in an open relationship that was cheating. Open relationships have set rules that are determined by the couple and the woman I knew wouldn't abide by the rules she had agreed to so to me and her husband that was cheating. She had some sort of compulsion to do so. Now she is my ex's problem what goes around comes aroung.

My opinion.

A desire to sleep with someone else. Maybe lust, or genetic drive,
who knows? But one thing for sure(IMO), it shows a total disregard
for how the other person feels or lack of caring for them, and it
shows a lack of respect for people in general.
