My first tarot deck was A Beginner's Guide to Tarot by Juliet Sharman-Burke artwork by Giovanni Caselli. I loved the deck and I love the way she taught tarot in the accompanying book. When I got my Celtic Dragon deck, I thought, ok, now I don't need this learner's deck, besides, you only need one tarot deck, right? So I gave it to a friend who wanted to learn tarot. The minor arcana is based on old faithful R/W, but the major is based on the Marseilles deck. Well, now I've decided I want that learner deck back, because I love the imagery. So I bought it, and it arrived today, hence the Yippee!!!!!! I'm so excited, I can't wait to dig in. May do a reading just for me tonight! I've already crochet a bag for them. Oh, now I'm up to 3 decks with a wish list of many more.

And of course I broke them out last night. I also bought the workbook. I devotes 2 pages to each card, with one page being a page to color the card yourself with spaces for what you think, what you feel, what your experiences are with this card. I really think this is a great learner deck, with the capability to carry you on through to experienced reader. Especially if you have problems with the major arcana of the R/W and other Golden Dawn based decks. I really can't get into all the Judeo/Christian images in them, so this works for me.
