View Full Version : Questions about my son's energy thing

I've mentioned this on this board before, but I'm just wondering if I can get more information on it.
My son has this energy thing that interferes with electronic equipment, etc. When he wears a watch it either stops or runs backward, street lights flash and burn out when he goes under them, etc. - especially a particular streetlight which is positioned directly over a metal artist's shop where there are a lot of metal sculptures outside.
He hasn't really worked a whole lot with controling it, but whenever he's sitting around not doing much, even if he's in class or having a conversation, he's constantly playing with it kind of absent-mindedly. It's really getting a lot stronger. If he puts his hand next to mine, I can really feel it. I mean - without even concentrating, I can feel electric energy coming out of his hands, kind of like touching electrodes on a battery.
He said that last night he was driving home from his girlfriend's and a cat suddenly ran out in front of his car - so close he couldn't possibly have stopped the car using the brakes in time to avoid hitting the cat. But he felt an extremely intense energy course through his arms and hands and the car just rapidly stopped without him trying to stop it. He said it wasn't like when you stop using the brakes. The car didn't skid, his body didn't jerk forward when the car stopped - it just happened.
He started taking welding classes in highschool last year and he has a gift for it. He rapidly became well-known in the welding program and he learned today that he's going to be entered in competition welding, the instructors are rolling out the red carpet for him, talking about full scholarships, and he's very pleasantly surprised at the attention and admiration he's getting for it. I'm wondering if the energy thing has something to do with it. I think it helps him to control the welding energy
He wants to learn to see it, and to control it and do something more with it. Where would he start?

He should look into Psionics/Energy manipulation.
He'd likely make a good healer too.
I can't wear watches, the battery always dies.
With me it's usually because I was unconsciously draining the energy (because I am a psyvamp).
I found that my innate abilities with energy work are quite helpful in magical workings and healing.
I first learned to see energy by just sitting quietly outside and looking 'past' everything. You can see the energy moving around trees and plants. Then I progressed to people and animals.
I imagine others will have ideas as well.

I have a friend that can't have watches or anything w/ battery. My ex can't get automatic doors to work for him.. he has had to wait outside for someone to walk in before him.. and he has had them close on him before.
Certain people have different magnetic fields/ frequency.
I am not sure why, great post.. I hope someone has an answer:boing:

Energy Medicine by Donna Eden and / or Hands of Light by Barbara Brennan are 2 books that come to mind. They deal mostly with healing energy, but I'm sure there are lots of practices in there that will help simply to gain control as well. I also like TWM's suggestions. The one of looking past things I've found to be helpful for myself as well.

Mmm, that's awesome. I'm not able to see the energy I work with with my physical eyes, but I know what it looks like in my mind. I strengthened that 'sight' through putting a blindfold on and then experimenting with energy in my hands. What really helped me in that respect was music... I simply moved to it, danced with the energy swirling around me and inside of me, and the music helped me shape and control it...
I've interfered with things like phones, lights, computers, etc. before. In fact, nobody allows me near the printer at work when I'm feeling high on energy because they know it'll stop working if I go near it. I know how to control it a lot, though, because I followed a course concerning healing recently and also because I attempted a lot of energy work myself. Perhaps your son can gain the same kind of control through simply playing with it and focusing on it doing what he wants. I often mentally/energetically tell the light to "stay on" when I'm upset, because if I don't tell it to do that it'll start to flicker or even die out. (And yeah, if I'd say that kind of thing out loud I would be seen as an ever bigger nutcase than I already am... so a word of caution to him in that sense!)

You know, I've noticed that sometimes too. There was one streelight in particular, down the end of our road, which would regularly quietly fade and die when I went past it. I used to assume it was just defective, but then I noticed that it would sometimes happen in other places as well, and I noticed it again somewhere else just the other day. Maybe it's just coincidence, maybe not, though?

They say that there are some people who have that effect on streetlights. Other people don't have that effect. From what I've heard, the same people who have that effect on streetlights also often can't wear watches. So I'd hesitate to call it a coincidence.
Thanks for the book recommendations, LisaT4P - I'll look them up.

I'll have to check those books out, too - thanks Lisa! All good suggestions here, I think. My experience with it is much less drastic than others, but I still try to work with it using some of the things people have mentioned (like looking past everything). Mine isn't really consistent, except in my friend's van... for some reason, almost every time I get in her van, her dashboard goes out. Completely. No speedometer, no nothing.
The streetlight thing happens to me too, but it's not because of MY energy field. My brother (who crossed over 23 years ago) likes to turn them off to get my attention. Sometimes, if I'm not being terribly receptive because of something else on my mind, he'll start turning them off to get me to pay attention to him. I've had a row of them go out on me as I drive down the road... talk about freaky!

My son was saying it would be cool if he could get a row of them to go out and stay out - like as he walked under one it would go out and stay out, and then he'd walk under the next and it would do the same thing. He'd end up with the whole town staring at him! That would be cool!

Yeah, my brother used to like to play practical jokes and the afterlife has not changed that at all. Apparently he thought that was funny. Thank goodness I realized it was him or I would have completely lost it.

Even better if he can light them back up again. He needs some serious guidance to help him control his energy before causing unintentioned harm.

Yeah - and it appears that, for now, I'm the only one who can provide him with that guidance. Unfortunately I don't know much about the subject - at all.
He's a very nice, soft-hearted young man. He's kind and loving, hardworking, and has a very odd sense of humor. But his energy thing does cause unintentioned harm sometimes. Nothing major - but we did have to move the wireless modem out of his room because it frequently wouldn't work when he was in his room. The electric shift on one of the 4-wheelers refused to work anymore when he was miles out in the middle of nowhere (worked just fine when my husband got on it, though), stuff like that. And this was before he started deliberately channeling the energy, or whatever it is he's doing.
Now it's getting stronger and that could be a good thing or a bad thing - or both - or neither.
I ordered a book on Paperback Swap called "Healing Hands" and gave him the Celestine Prophecy to read. He's not too interested in reading about it, though. He wants me to just tell him what he needs to know - but I don't know it, myself!

I have had the street light happen so much more and more, that i posted a new thread about it, and I just had the door at Wal-mart close right in front of my fiance and I and we just stood there trying to open it. Another lady had to come by before it would open again...
I kill electronic devices too. I am draining on batteries apparently too. This gets expensive!
I hope that this "gift" or whatever you want to call it isn't linked to spontaneous human combustion, or anything!

I had something happen to me a few years ago that made me realize my lack of control of my energy...which I am glad to say spurred me to learn to control it. As far as controlling it, its a matter of playing with it in a safe environment. Also different emotional states create different strength for me. The aforementioned incident taught me that. I overheard a guy talkin about getting physically abusive with his girlfriend and I was instantly so angry! So I kinda sat there staring at him thinking that I was just thinking about how angry I was...He ended up locking his keys in his car and got angry and was a whole huge ordeal. My friend, that understands energy much better than I, looked at me and told me to stop putting my anger on him. It had been expressed. I turned my focus and the lock popped open. It was a big lesson for me...and while he was tryin to get his car unlocked, his battered girlfriend moved out. But, yeah, it needs to be in check so that he can use it as a tool and not have his life interrupted by it. Best of Luck!
