Ghost photos can be pretty fascinating, but I was wondering if anyone knows which famous 'ghost' photos have been debunked? My reason for asking is the Tulip Staircase ghost photo, which I was sure had been debunked as a fake, yet I found it displayed on a paranormal site with a disclaimer saying
"Many experts who examined the original negative, including some from Kodak, concluded that the negative had not been tampered with."
Here is the photo:

Does anyone know anything more about it?
And while we're on the subject, which other famous 'ghost photos' have been debunked? And which haven't? Are there any you believe might be real? :ghostie:

Photo debunked
This particular photo have made his rounds around the globe. It first originated in Malaysia , when it was highlighted in the Chinese Newspapers.
This is clearly a fake as it was taken from elsewhere. The original photo (above) where the ‘lady' was taken from is from this photo, in a cinema prop setting.

Pictures are really hard to use as "evidence", I think. They're just a split second and don't really tell you the whole story or about what might really be going on. Add to that very poor lighting, pixelated images, or super-blown up images, and you just don't have much to work with.
I know that doesn't really answer your question, but I just wanted to say that I'm in general very skeptical of most photographs. Don't even get me started on orbs.... :ghost:

Is there any more information on the picture? When it was taken etc?
