Question 1) Is it common or rare at all to be communicating with nature and/or animals in a period of days? I have already been able to communicate with animals and a tree, the tree even responded, and asked me why humans persist in burning their kind down, and i kindly responded saying that there are a few cruel humans who do it, but most of the time it is because of careless humans or just dry fires.
Question 2) This has nothing to do with Paganism for the most part, but I quickly learned how to do Therapeutic touch, i guess that has to do with psychic abilities.

Thanks..

Not uncommon at all. If there's anything worth knowing, only certain people will know it ;)

Welcome to the path and welcome to MW

Welcome and hello!

It's not unusual at all to be doing that so soon! In fact, I bet some people might even envy you. ;)

I talk to a willow tree that lives 45 mins away. 2 years ago I was able to talk to it "face to face", but now I just tune into it and have conversations. Sometimes I'll hold some of the leaves I'd dried.. or the staff I found under it.. or my 3 wands.. 8O

Talking to animals seems a little more difficult than trees, to me. Their minds are just so complex! I usually can't talk to much more than my cats or something. 8O But that doesn't bother me!

Thats why im wondering, its odd, because i have been reading "talking to animals" by Betty Louis, but the wierd thing is she says itll take a talented person around 3 weeks to be able to have the least of conversations with animals, and i am gettin it so fast... its just really wierd because, when i talk to animals and trees, it seems like we ( humans) are responsible for everything bad that happens to them, or thats what they think, its just really hard on me because i just think about so many things at once, what trees say, what animals say, learning new things, doing well in school, everything
But im going to try my best, i don't know where to start but im going to head to the bookstore today and what book i should start on, that interests me

Your main thing you might want to try and keep in mind is not to dwell on what the lives of nature are telling you. If you have harmed not, then fear not. If they ask you why, answer the way you would like to hear. Don't get ahead of yourself and blame yourself for what others do. They know this, and they are just waiting for you to realize this. Remember, they get currious too.

I sure do! Is there any set way to 'talk' to trees, or is it a personal thing? I haven't quite figured out how to do it myself yet :(

I've found willows to be quite a talkative bunch, myself! :D

I was able to communicate with trees from the start (i.e. after I got over my indiscriminate skepticism). Its not something that I can do all the time for numerous reasons but most often I can get impressions from plants.

I'll mentally say something and get a definite response (not auditory or anything, just a distinct understanding of what its "thinking")

For me there isnt really any technique other than relaxing, touching the tree, and being totally receptive to changes that I feel and impressions that I get without trying to force them (thats the hardest part, IMO) Sometimes it helps if I visualize being certain components of the tree (like the sap flowing through it or the leaves taking in sunlight) and other times it helps if I feel my body being "rooted" into the tree itself. Like if my hand is touching the bark I'll imagine that my hand is growing roots and tendrils that grow right into the tree, and that seems to make it easier to understand. But this is just my experience, so it may not work for everyone.

Well for me, it all depends on what i want to talk about with the tree, in a normal conversation since i practice meditation so much i don't even need to come in contact with the tree. But if i want to share something with the tree or feel something that the tree is trying to make me feel i touch it. Willow trees are among the most talkative and enjoyable to talk to in my experience, unfortunately, i had a 170 year old willow in my yard, was about 200 years old... in the storm of 98' i believe.. it was blown over =( Was truly a harsh blow to me and i wish it was still alive. Just focus on the words you want to say or the feelings or thoughts you want to convey to the animal or tree and then "Will" it to be sent to it, visualize it going from your brain to the tree, and feel the energy flowing with the thought to the tree or animal
