Who here is planning trips to local cemetaries for the next month and a half til Samhain/All Hollow's Eve? There are two that I plan to visit . One is in my town here that is very active most times and there is another about an hour from me.

There are two by me, one I run past and as its far away from the urban sprawl I think I might just go up there to do something if there are no pesky kids getting drunk(er than me) up there.

I visit them through out the year. I found a very old one for the settler's of our area this week near my job. It is breath taking! The energies are amazing too! This is one that closes at sundown though. There are two closer to my home that I visit and help straighten up every couple of weeks.( Personal promise between the spirits and myself)

There's one tiny one with only about 15-20 people in it that's actually on the property of my company's campus. I try to head out there a few times a week to keep it nice. The maintenance men keep the lawn mowed, but sometimes the infant's headstone off to the side by itself gets knocked over, so I go in and set him back upright.
We used to have a huge local cemetery we could sneak into at night easily, but they recently had some bad vandalism and installed motion sensor lights and silent alarms, so we haven't been back since then. Sad too, it was really huge and had some awesome headstones and mausoleums. We might find another though. I always keep an eye out. ;)

I am blessed in living a 15 minute walk from a wonderful, overgrown Victorian cemetery here in the Uk. It has a lot of people who perished on the Titanic buried in it, is very dark, very gothic and a favourite place for me to go for some quiet. I have a lot of photos of it around the place actually.

Sounds absolutely lovely!!! Are you able to post those pics here? And with victims from the Titanic?!? Wow.
I love cemetaries. All year round, where ever I go, if there is a cemetary, I visit it. Sometimes I'll find an active one, sometimes there is nothing but peace and resting in the "air". There are two that I am really drawn to, which is about 4 blocks from me, and the other is in the next town. Both very active.

I actually don't live close to any cemetaries that I know of. I feel good about that in a way, but a little bummed too.
I went on a photographic ghost hunt in a cemetary once. I think I caught some things but can't be too sure.

I am one of those that love being near or at a cemetary. I sit in one just to think sometimes. I do alot of my writing in them. I'm not sure why, but my focus is so much better in a cemetary, even in one that has nasty, draining energies in it, strangely. I bring lots of protective stones and work with my 'circle of protection' to keep safe.

I still feel new to my area. I don't know where the cemetaries are around here yet. I know there is a small, very old historic cemetary right in the middle of uptown Kingston by the Dutch church.
