Any one in a similar position as me?

My husband is gone, he's in the Navy, and right now at school to finish training to become a Gunner's Mate.

That leaves me and my 18 month old son home alone. My cousin is also in the military, in the Army, and he ehads for Pakistan in 1 month.

I have a few friends also in the Navy and Army, going over the the middle east, or ports near by, waiting for orders to move.

I'm just curious to see if any one else is in the same(or similar) position as me

Naillosotarrain goes to Navy Reserve boot camp on the first. I am going to miss him so much we haven't been apart more than one night since we got together. I am really upset about it I don't want to sleep alone but I have his pillows to cuddle up to and Puma is coming out to help distract me so I should be ok.

My heart felt sympathy..I have a son who travels with the military as a civilian. Didn't know about them? They are people with special skills and they help out, usually ex military like my son. He is currently in Qatar. He has been elsewhere at times. It is a busy life.

My Heart's Daughter is in the Air Force. She was in Qatar for 3 months; she's back now.
She's posted in Washington state, and I miss her dreadfully.
While in Qatar, she had internet access about once a week or so, and emailed me every time. (And sending her 'stuff' was expensive...I sent her a small box, and it was $15.00 for postage!)
In boot camp, she didn't have access, but was able to call me 3 or 4 times. And she wrote a lot of letters....

I"m in the Air Force myself, and am dating a marine who is now stationed in Japan. Don't know when we'll ever be stationed together. My best advice for you is to cuddle with pillows, write often, and talk on the phone when you can. Other then that stay busy and keep going, if not the boredom or lonliness may get you!

I'm in Colorado and Phoenix is stationed in Alabama.
We've known each other for almost two years and been engaged for almost a year.

*smiles and shrugs* It's rough and there are days when you don't know how you're going to survive...but all you can really do is keep hope for the day when you'll be together.
