my husband and I are trying to plan a week long vacation for the end of June...anyone have any ideas...if I go to Niagara Falls just one more time I just might find a barrel and go over!!!:rolleyes: :D

So, does it have to be within driving distance or are you able to fly? If you're driving you could make it to Washington DC in a day. There's lots to see there. Or if you or your husband are interested in Civil War stuff, there's lots of that kind of thing in Virginia. Again, it only takes about a day to get there from Ohio. If you'd prefer going in a Northern direction you could always come to MI. Mackinaw Island is neat, yet a bit expensive. Just a few suggestions.

What kind of things do you enjoy? There are lots of places that you can go camping with various degrees of roughing it. There are some great sights in New Orleans. Florida is nice but some area's are a bit pricy. When were you thinking of going? Most states have visitors guides that you can get for free. You can find the numbers in the backs of a lot of magazines they will send them right to you so that you have more choices. They also often have coupons in them that come in handy. There really are a lot of choices cost and preferance will figure in a lot of them.

Have you considered a trip to Canada? There is a park in
Ontario where you can see many species of animals found
nowhere else in North America.
Besides you will get more bang for your bucks with the
current exchange rate. :)

thanks for all of your ideas...but right after I posted that my husband got this packet at work about this Hilton in Las Vegas...it is called the Star Treck Experience.....I am not a Star Treck fan by ANY means....but this place looks really cool...and they have a package where you get room, $10 in casino stuff...10% off in their gift show and something else I can't remember what...for like $66 per night....they have motion simulators and ...it just looks really cool.....so I think we're either gonna go there or go on a Disney Cruise...depends what the travel agent can get price wise for us!! again thanks for all of your help......I am keeping all of your ideas as I think he has another vacation later on in the year...and we'll need ideas for that one too:)
