Saturday I was among the Amish and as most of you know they use Horse and Buggy as the main form of transportation. I was off to the side taking a break and I started to send Reiki to one of the horses that was in his ‘parking spot’. I could see him react to it right away, so I just continued to send. His owners were near by and they were selling some goods that they made. As I made my way past where he was….the owner asked me if I was afraid of horses….I said no, he said well he is very interested in you for some reason, would you mind going over to him. HA! So I did, he was so cute, his name was Rusty. He was feisty. As I started to put my hands on him and draw the symbols visually, he kept moving his food bucket onto my feet. His owner would drag it back away an Rusty would move it right back over on top of my feet. This happened quite a few times, the owner, was like I am sorry, I don’t know what has gotten into him. HA! So finally I just started to hand feed him his food from the bucket. He loved it. Then each time I would say my goodbyes to Rusty he would put his foot/huff on top on mine….so as I could not leave him. Finally, after he had enough treatment he let me leave. Boy did I need to clean up after that.

I made my way to the other end of the resort and was waiting to go into the banquet hall for our event. There was another horse that was taking people from the restaurant over to the hotel and back again. As he passed me the one time, I started to send Reiki to him. He dropped his people off and picked up new people and headed over to the hotel, as he picked up the new people and came back around again, he cut across the whole parking lot and started to come right over to me. His owner had to redirected him quickly, it was cute. So after he went to the restaurant and dropped off again, I walked over to him. I put the symbols on again visually and started talking to him. His little owner had gone inside to use the restroom and so I had time alone with him. He just stared right at me. Then he kept putting his forehead on my forehead. When his owner came back, we were just talking a bit and I continue to give Ralph Reiki. David, his owner was telling me about Ralph. All of a sudden, Ralph was shaking like a wet dog from head to tale, it was so funny and even David was surprised. Then he kept yawning and putting his forehead to mine and then he would move David away from me with his head/neck. The general manager came out to let me know our event was starting and he moved Bob right away from me too with his neck and then put his head right on my shoulder and would not let me leave. Just to see those great big eyes trying to talk to you was just something else. I stayed with him until he had enough treatment, too and with as much as he was yawning, it was a good thing he was on his way home.

Damn they are so smart. I am really enjoying working with the animals. And I like to be able to see it work from a distance and see them react to it, that is when you know they feel it and they like it.

Just had to share that with you guys.

That is awesome! I gave an attunement this weekend and it was really, really good. There were moments when the energy I felt was over-whelming.

I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time!

Yes, it was really cool. When I was over by Rusty, before I approached him, he kept taking is right foot and he would hit it on the ground three times like he was calling me over. He just kept at it. I did not just want to walk over to him, so I was glad his owner asked me to visit with him. I wanted to tell them I was doing Reiki, but I don’t know enough about their beliefs, so I just left it and just let the horses know what I was doing. It was obvious something was going on….so I just let them think what they wanted too.

David said Ralph wanted to go home with me and we joked how he would look in my garage. Not much fun for him, but we could do Reiki all day. I have learned so much about them in such a short amount of time, they are so amazing and their bonds they form are so deep. I know they require a lot of care and attention and it is so cool to see them thrive when they have it. So was so much more that happened and it is hard to write it all here, I am keeping a journal for all of the Reiki I do and it is a nice way to keep all the experiences with both humans and animals someplace.

I called our local animal shelter today and the supervisor is going to let me come in a couple of days a week and work with the animals they have there. The book I am reading right now about Animals and Reiki shows that even after just one treatment those animals seem to get adopted quicker. So it will be fun. And it will be a learning experience. I am excited.
