View Full Version : Stress dream. :)

OK, I pretty much get this one, but I'd like some other insights in case I'm missing anything.

I was dreaming that I was in my car driving. I had to go & pick up my kids. It was sort of a repeating loop.

1st time I was driving the road had 3 lanes all going in the same direction. It had a right turn lane that I would take to get to where I needed to go.

Then, that changed and it somehow became a 2 lane road, with traffic going in the opposite direction on my left and then my lane (the right lane) was all going in my direction. For some WEIRD reason, my right turn lane was also going in the opposite direction, so when I entered the turn lane to go that way, there were cars coming at me.

Once I made the turn, it was onto the military base where I grew up. They were working on one of the roads (the one I would normally take) so I had to go around and out of my way to get to where my kids were.

The car was WAY too small & cramped and I kept feeling hunched over and squished and I was trying to find ways to be comfortable and not feel that way. I'd keep wiggling and moving my legs & arms & stuff to find a more comfortable position.

I never did pick up the kids (which was sort of the goal), but when I tried to leave where they were, I again had to go really far out of my way to get around all the roadwork. This time I wanted to make a left to get to my house, which would have been only about 2 minutes away, but I had to go out of the base and then loop back around. (I told you it was a repeating loop)

And of course, there were lots of other cars on the road, not going fast enough for me.

Frustrating much? LOL It made me laugh how clear of a metaphor this was, but just in case I missed anything, I thought I'd post it here and get some insights from others.

Thanks for your help! :uhhuhuh:

:hugz:

Guess it goes with our conversation the other night about this, huh? SIGH!

So feel your pain. Mine have been one big spread sheet. Everything that happens in my dream is being removed, added, highlighted, sorted. It is so frustrating. They are good dreams too, just taken over by the action of the stress. So weird. I will be glad when this is over.

I'm lucky I have light at the end of the tunnel........not so much for you. ;(

I did get good news, sold a lot of my stuff and can now plan my vacation. I usually wait till later to plan, but my first free night is Thursday and I am booking my trip! If I don't die first.

Sending you positive, non repeating loop energy, I just hope it does not turn into spread sheet chaos. :hehehehe:

Some dreams are symbolic and some are not but then those not could be astral adventures like space flying, swimming, looking for things, driving your car. The loop back to your childhood place is your astral travelling within a form of mental transport. The crampness, and sometimes unexpected turns, you finding cars going another way and you not collecting your children as you'd expected. It's your astral state maneovering around pathways, back in time, and yourself having an interesting ride later the next day. Dreams like that do similar things to me using public transport or trying different foods.

I got that something from your past...childhood is to be healed...no matter how many detours, roadblock, or ways you try to get around it will always lead you back to where you need to be...heal it to move forward....:weirdsmil

Perhaps. I'll explore that and see where I can focus that healing energy where it'd do the most good. Thanks!
