So, I figure while we're waiting for the readings to be accomplished, that we could take a moment to pause & discuss what we've learned, how we've used it and ask any questions that have come to mind.

How are you guys doing? Any epiphanies? Any confusion? Any threats on my life? :toofless:

How are you guys doing? I am doing good I am getting what I wanted out of the class

Any epiphanies? Yes but right now I am going to go do my reading before I explain :D

Any confusion? Well the one part about seeing a negative card in a postive light still gets me at times but I am getting better :D

Any threats on my life? :toofless: No your safe from me  :)

I must admit, I've fallen out of the habit of keeping up my journal, but I'm slowly getting back into it. I've learned a lot from this class, and I think it's so much better than memorizing a bunch of definitions of the cards. It's much easier to apply the meanings of the cards in the readings this way. I just hope I get better over time, more detailed and making more connections between cards rather than just the cards in and of themselves.

I'm enjoying it although I haven't had a go at reading outside the class.
I'm looking at the cards more in depth and taking note of colours etc more. One thing I did notice regarding the reading I did for Miss Dana (but didn't get round to adding it to my post - I actually woke at some ungodly hour of the morning with this revelation) was that the first three cards were all facing right as I was looking at them and the fourth had the lady standing almost face on. Almost in a 'this is where you are going and this is the outcome' kind of thing. I hadn't really taken much notice of which direction the people were facing before.

Unfortunatly I have got out of the habit of drawing a card a day - probably because I have been keeping my cards in the suits so I can do the lessons and of course haven't been keeping a journal either.

This is the most difficult part for anyone to learn, seeing the spread as a story instead of card by card. Perhaps we'll do some reading practice with that. :)

It is those types of little nuances that help us read more intuitively and can give us flashes of insight into a situation. I love that.

Journaling & pulling a card a day is hard. I have trouble with it too.

Would it help if I started a thread here in the class for us to post our card-a-day? Or could we start using the thread over in the Tarot section for this purpose? I've often found that if I'm doing it only for myself I'm less likely to do it, but if I feel I have accountability then I'm more likely to make the effort. :)

Also, as far as reading practice goes, I just want to say again that this is why I do the spread of the week. So you can get in your practice in a "safe" environment and also see how other people interpret the same spread you're using. Once you guys feel comfortable enough, I'd love it if you'd give it a try. You can do it! :D

Ok I need clarification for the daily card draw. Is this something we do and share what card we drew for the day ?

Yes. For example, we could just start posting our daily cards in this thread: http://mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=148958

As it is already in place. :)

Ok that is what I was wondering if it was going to be like that thread :D

And well so when do we start? :)

You can start whenever you like. I think I like the idea of just using the thread that is already in place. That way you can keep going there after the class is over if you want to.

This isn't a requirement for the class, just a helpful suggestion of a way to get yourself going on this topic again. :)

Oh ok thought it was a part of the class. In any case I did post in the thread yesterday and will do so again today.
