He's a murderer.
True. But to me, he made so many accomplishment a lot during his life. Made so many awards in football and much more. I just feel sympathy for him. And I don't know I guess he does deserve it. :sadman::sadman::sadman::sadman::sadman::sadman::sadman:

Just because someone can hike a ball and get money for it doesn't make them any better than the rest of us nor are the exempt from criminal punishment. He MURDERED a woman and then held a man hostage. His ass deserved to be canned.

I thought he wasn't being sentenced until December 5th. Did something change?

October 6th, 2008, 07:34 PM
Simpson will be held in the Clark County Detention Center until his Dec. 5 sentencing, and then is expected to be moved to state prison. Galanter said he will pursue a request for Simpson to be released on bond during the appeals process.

Hey did anybody hear the news about OJ is sentence to life for armed robbery, kidnapping and murder? He is not going to jail for murder. No one was murdered this time around. Either way he is finally almost where he belongs.

He murdered two........................... street wise he's known as the man who got away with two murders ( double murder) and the glove did fit chuckles........
I think if he had any sports reputation left it has long been erased as his criminal record is what the dunce head will be remembered for.
would tickle me if they give the juice the juice.. as in electrical juice.. nods.

Football is a game.... nothing heroic about that.

No, I think he is getting charged with murder. Some old guy had a heart attack because Simpson was waving the gun around or something.

Hehe thank you for the correction. I was in Kindergarten when this occurred so my memory of it is really fuzzy. It used to be what I did after school though..go to grandpas and watch cartoons while he watched the OJ trial.

I thought the sentencing phase was to be held in December. So he couldn't have been sentenced yet. Though I'm not complaining ...

Two words. Double Jeopardy. If they can prove even a hint that the jury was finding him guilty based on the double murder - that will provide the basis for an appeal. Probably a successful one.

Heh, I remember the start of this long, long ago. Probably one of the first major court case things I ever heard of. I was pretty young then. I remember watching the Naked Gun movies back then (along with Terminator 2 :hehehehe:). I even saw the third Naked Gun movie in the cinema! Then OJ got arrested and I was all surprised that an actor from a neat movie would do something like that. Ah, the naivety of youth. :smileroll
I also agree about the use of the term "Sporting Hero". Being good at sport isn't heroic, what's wrong with using the term "Sporting Champion" instead? :whatgives There's enough things here in Australia with the footballer "heroes" thumping people, taking drugs and getting pissed as it is to invalidate the title. :geez:

Ah sheesh thats what I get for not doing my research. He still deserves the slammer. Give him twenty years and that will be sufficient since he's older now. He won't have much time left afterwards since that would make him 81 and the average life expectancy for a male is around that area. *yawns* This is all I can come up with right now since the groggy got to me.

During the murder proceedings it was referred to as "The Trial of the Century".
Probably by people who never heard of Nurnburg.

The reason he commited armed robery is because the family of the man he killed basically owned OJ. He lost the civil suit and owes that family EVERYTHING, so if he had gone to the police and got his items back legally, they wouldve gone to the family. So very indirectly, OJ is going to jail because of the family of the man he murdered, and that makes me smile. Karma bi-atch!

What's sad is that with all his fame he chose to be a criminal.
Him going to prison isn't sad, its justice.

It's sad that he got away with brutally murdering two people. He was no hero, he was a murderer. he ruined his life, but he also ruined his kids and his victims' familys' lives. He needs to shrink away forgotten until he shrivels up and dies in some prison, hopefully in solitary because the other prisoners wand the fame of killing his sorry self.

The only bad thing about this I think is that the family of his victims won't be able to get much more out of him now.

Perhaps not, but they will know that he is FINALLY in jail. He deserves to stay there. Hopefully no possibility of parole until his sentence is complete. Karma may be slow sometimes, but it sure bites you in the a$$ when it comes back around.

I am not sure why you feel sorry for this man. He murdered 2 people. He refused to pay the families for the judgement they received in the civil trial. He didnt do anything outstanding in his life before that. Sorry but bieng a B actor and a footballer doesnt make him outstanding.
He beat his wife regularly before he murdered her. He is scum. end of story.

He deserves everything he gets.
He made the decision to murder people,to rob people.Nobody forced him. That was his decision.
And now justice is finally being done.
