View Full Version : Why I am here.

Since my presence was questioned in this folder, I thought I would answer it here.

No, I'm not here to proselatize.... (however ya spell that word)
I will talk about Jesus if someone wishes though. :)

The main reason I have this account is to have one more place I can go and
browse when I've had a dose of toxic churchianity.
Of course, sometimes I find toxins of another flavor here, but that just serves
to remind me that being toxic, or in the case of one poster here, dishonest, are
not intrinsically church or pagan issues.
They are human issues.
Issues that I need to be able to forgive from christian and pagan alike.

I'm not here to shove my beliefs down your throat, I'm not even here to argue
with the chap that lied about one of my ministry sites.
I hang out here to relax and detox from the things that get said to me at
various 'christian' forums.

It is somewhat ironic that I get into trouble there for telling the truth about
witchcraft and pagans...
and I get into trouble here for telling the truth about christians. :)

Ah well... that's how it goes I reckon.
Be blessed. :)

You don't need to explain why you are here any more than anyone else does.

I always find your posts interesting and informed, even when I don't agree with your opinion. :)

You only got in trouble here for proselytizing, that is, attempting to convert others to Christianity.

Every Pagan has, at some point in his or her life, heard the "Jesus loves you" spiel. We get it. We come here so that we don't have to hear it. Many of us enjoy the company of true Christians, those who walk the talk; but none of us needs to hear the "good news" any more than we already have. None of us needs to be "saved."

Keep that in mind, and there'll be no need for administrative action in the future.

ok so I understand the converting thing not being good. got it. but I'll discuss christianity with anyone who wishes to. I have some rather abnormal idea's about the whole Faith concept.

You can find lots of conversation here (http://mysticwicks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=597) if you are interested in discussions of Christianity. We have several Christian members.

You and me both.... well... I have some rather unusual ideas about the christian God.... mind you ... I thought of it mostly when I, myself, was still christian. Wasn't the reason I chose to walk the pagan path, though.

Agreed, completely.

Sometimes its nice to be among like-minded people

Hey, I believe Jesus was a pretty cool fella... that doesn't mean I think he's the "almighty" but I welcome you anyway.
