Thanksgiving is fast approaching - even if you don't celebrate it the "normal" way, for whatever reason, it is always a reminder on my calendar to consider what I have to give thanks for. Certainly we should give thanks for our blessings all year, but this is a special time where we're reminded to really sit and think about it. What do you have to give thanks for?

I give thanks for;
- my family - my mom who's plugging through school, my dad who's finally healing and getting better
- my friends
- my mate
- my house (that we're supposed to move into in oct now  )
- my computer - coding, websites, and chat with online friends as well as access to all kinds of info thanks to the internet
- fall weather - the fresh smell in the air, cooler temperatures, fall leaves

How 'bout you?

This is a great idea. I have never felt like I had so many things to be thankful for as this year. I guess the most obvious thing would be the precious gift of our new baby that will be delivered via C-section on Nov. 25th, the Monday before Thanksgiving. However, I think right now, the biggest thing I feel the need to mention is the lessons I have learned this year from my own trials and from those of my friends and loved ones. The ability of the human spirit to, not only endure through hard times, but to continue to offer love and support to others has fascinated me and I am so very thankful to have witnessed this first hand. I only hope that, in addition to truly seeing this, I can do the same in my life.

As Pagans, I think we actually start celebrating Thanksgiving at Litha and go all the way through Samhain, as we're celebrating a period of three harvests.

I am thankful, thankful, thankful for meeting Flar. He's restored my faith in life and love and every second that I spend with him is a blessing.

I am thankful for my children and that they have grown into very special young men.

I am thankful that the Air National Guard canceled my son's deployment overseas this month and that he was able to enroll in college.

I am thankful that I had the guts to quit a secure job and take a risk, and although it didn't work out my stress level has been greatly reduced this year. And that although my income has been reduced drastically, I've been able to scrape by as the Lord and Lady always provide.

I am thankful that the pagan community in my area is growing in leaps and bounds and that I have a vast support network in the very special people that I have met there - and here on MW, especially Rick, Mol and Semele.

I'm thankful for my friend Robbie, who's also here.

I'm thankful that I haven't gotten sick because I have no health insurance right now, and that when I did hurt my back I recovered. I'm thankful for the infamous Goat Boy, Oridian here on MW, who is in school to become a chiropractor and has given me free adjustments which have made me feel better than I have in a long time. And for my doctor who has given me free blood pressure medication for most of this time.

I'm thankful for three cute cats, and two more that I acquired through Flar......and Flar's parents, who are wonderful people.

And I am thankful for things that I may have wanted and didn't get, because they probably would not have been best.

Blessed Be.

I'm thankful

1. That I didn't go over the edge, and have started the long climb back up the mountain from the pit I dug myself into.

2. For Mike, who's been right beside me every step I took, who's always there to give me advice, a shoulder to cry on and a poke to make me laugh when I need it most.

3. For all my online buddies...I'd probably still be a drifer if it weren't for you guys :crylaugh: (((((((((((((((((((HUGE HUGS))))))))))))

I'm thankful for my faith and my spiritual path for which there is no explanation. Just a deep and heart felt gratitude.
I am most thankful for the fact that Hubby and I are still together and are finally happy.
We had some VERY rough times (and at one time divorce papers were filed) in the beginning of our marriage and it's sad to say but the oldest two had to watch us grow up.
I'm thankful for my children and the special gifts that they each have and the things I've learned from and through them.

I'm thankful for Love, the Goddess, the Earth, the Moon, and every beautiful creature on Earth.

I'm thankful for my parents, my family, my amazing friends (*hugs Radocs*), and everyone who cares about SOMETHING on this planet.

I'm thankful that I'm alive, have the ability to make something of myself while I'm here, and that I am who I am. I couldn't be anyone else.

I'm thankful for music, movement, colors, sound, sight, beauty, truth, life, faith, and touch.
