Smells odd

Okay, this was my first time burning sage, I decided to try it outside incase it made me allergic. Well I hope the neighbors all were inside because to me it smelled like marijuana. Now it's been 20 years since I was in college so my memory may be wrong. Am I imagining it or is that smell similar? And can anyone tell me how to get the smell out of my cast iron skillet? My hubby is gonna think I've lost my mind!! And lets hope the neighbors don't report me!

Yes, they can smell a little the same. hey both (to me) have that green - earthy smell. I do think they are enough different though to tell apart. The one (to me) that smells the most like marijuana is mugwort!

As for getting the smell out... slice a potato and boil it in the skillet. You can even eat the potato so it's not wasted. You could also try boiling some backing soda in it. Both absorb odors.
