weep!!! ok this is a request for healing energies to be sent my way!! ok. this is a rough outline of the problem :
9 years ago I was in a care accident where I got glass in m leg. I was in hospital for a month and they removed all the glass but said I had a hernia. Recently I had pain in my leg and was rushed to A&E where they told me I didn't have a hernia but 4 large chunks of glass left in my leg, they did 1st op but couldn't get them out and sent me away. 1 week later was rushed to A&E again in real pain! where a doctor who told me had worked there for only 2 days!!! operated on me and said he removed the glass. Now is been about 2 months and I was taken to A&E again with serve swelling in my leg, they did an x-ray and found that all the glass is still in there and have no record of the secound opration or the name of the doctor!!!!! I went to see a specialist yesterday who told me that I do have a hernia and glass in my leg, and the doctors should have never tried to take the glass out before fixing the hernia, but as they did they have just really annoyed the hernia and set it off bug time! it looks like someone is blowing up a ballowen under the skin of my thigh! the big problem is that they can't oprate for another 15 months at least because of the waiting list! I am in a lot of pain and work 7 hrs a day on my feet in an opticians! I'm going to reflexogist today to see if that helps. but please send my healing energies or advice if you know anything to cure the pain as I refuse to live of pain killers for the next 15 months because A) they are not going to do my kidneys any good. and B) they dont work anyway!
Blessed Be,

You poor thing! Healing energy sent. Were all these surgeries performed at the same hospital? Maybe to rush along THIS procedure you can threaghten a malpractice suit! I can't believe they screwed up so badly!!!!!!! Hope it all gets taken care of soon!

Energy coming your way. I am not sure how things work in the UK. Here there are at least two commercials for attorneys who help with this sort of thing for every commercial break. May I suggest that you phone one or more of them and then let the first one who agrees to take the case with no money down contact the hospital. First off, they did screw up if things happen as you say they did. Second off a hernia is not something to put off for 15 months...you work it in and do it. It is a relatively quick procedure, but left untreated can cause severe problems and even death due to strangulation of the vessels. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE! Find someone who will listen to you now. Also, you should not be on your feet working seven hours a day as this can add to the danger.
Good luck and please keep us informed.

over here in the states we can contact our local t.v. station and they'd do an expose on it...maybe you could do that there?

mystic_ebony, I have an idea of what you're going through with the doctors/hospital. I'm in a similar situation with a screwed-up surgery, and I can't get any doctors to confirm it unless I got to a different state. (Our "Old Boy" network is too strong in this area...) But my situation isn't as serious as yours; you need to contact an attorney and/or find another doctor as soon as possible. I understand your fear and frustration, My Friend, but please pick up the phone and start making calls...
Stength and prayers to you.....

Went to the reflexogist today, my circulation in my leg is bad and the glass and hernia is swollen up to one of my main nerves which is causing me migraines. It is so lovely to have all your support. I am organizing a complaint now. People are telling me to go to the papers with this story as the big Tony Blair and NHS issues are out at the moment so I should strike while the iron is hot and the papers have and intrest in this sort of thing, what do u guys think?

First off all the positive and healing energy heading your way!!
Secondly, along with the yell, scream etc.... email, write, petition, picket do whatever you can to get help. A good idea is to CC: the media AND the hospital on every letter you write!
Good faith you will be in my thoughts!

Who is your strongest community advocate for health issues? Who runs the best articles exposing bad medical care? Who is the most powerful person you personally know that will listen to you and help you? Who is your local government representative? Do you belong to a coven or other group? Tell them, enlist their aid. Call these people and tell your story as carefully and as calmly as you can. If you get teary just say quietly, " I am scared and it is hard for me to ask for help" (which we know it is..) then swallow and continue to tell them your story. Tell and write letters when you can. Post them on local web sites in chat rooms for your area. Get the word out. Someone will hear and help.
I am very sorry this is happening to you....I wish you well quickly, we will all ask the powers that be to help. BB

Hi ya all.
well I have emailed s firm who deals with medical accidents and have had no reply :( I'm really not sure what to do!
I went back 2 work today, I can't take anymore time off work. 7hrs on my leg! ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I think the damn Hospital should pay for me to stay home from work till they have sorted my leg out, awwwww wishful thinking. I have to say hearing you guys and reading your comments is probley the one thing cheering me up a the moment, It makes me feel special; not just another number in the NHS books.
I dont know f anyone Knows the uk well. but I live in Guildford and attended the Royal Surrey Hospital, so anyone in the area, hear me! avoid that hospital!
Blessed Be

You can't afford to be working with your leg in the condition it is in at this time. The damn hospital could very well be paying your family for a wrongful death suit if they follow through with this. I am not trying to be morbid, but losing some time from work is the least of your worries...this is a LIFE-THREATENING situation.
Call every lawyer in the book until someone listens to you. Call the hospital and ask to speak to the Administrator or the equivalent.
