I'm not sure where to put this. I have a question about divination rods.
Divination rods a re used to locate underground water sources. So how is it they can be reliable for contacting spirits.

I don't think they can be reliably used for contacting spirits and I'm not sure I think they're good at locating underground water either. Long story short, I don't use them at all.

Dowsers use them all the time here when picking locations to put wells in on properties.
Quantum Mechanics calls this "quantumn intanglement" Science is learning much about it..

Now I trully suck at being a water witch but my grandfather was one and I saw him work quite a few times. He always said not only do the rods bend to the ground (or cross each other when metal) when you are over water but that they vibrate at certain points. He was also adamit about what type rod he would use, usually it was a Y shaped rod (always OAK for him) and he would hold the ends and the tip would move.
He sometimes would use two copper or steel rods to search. The steel (often old coat hangers) would shock him at certian places and he would go to the wood at those spots. The copper would occasionally do the same but not as often.
Now I don't know if my grandfather believed in spirits or such for he never really said. Yet there where times he would say that their was more than just water here or there and the rod told him so.

Divining rods can be used to find many things, but I've never heard of using them to "contact" anything.

In the "How to be a Ghost Hunter" book by Richard Southall, it doesn't mention having dousing rods in your ghost hunting kit. I have found it so far to be very thorough and interesting. I would not rule out using them though...spirits do emit electromagnetic energy. They just suggest a newer gadget to measure it with. (Electromagnetic Field Detectors and Detecto Cards)
