My favorite Sabbat! Last year we had a ritual, feasting and everyone had a chance to try their hand at readings. Here's a bit of history and some suggestions:

Samhain is traditionally a time for divination. The veil is thin at this time - the old year is dead, and the new is as yet unborn, and it is on this night when messages are most likely to be sent by dead friends and relatives. Traditionally, a place is set at the Samhain table for any dead friend who is welcome to return, and scrying, tarot reading and other forms of divination are often carries out on this night. It is important to remember that the dead are invited, made welcome, but never summoned or ordered to return. Forceful communication with the dead should never take place - it can be harmful and dangerous, and if nothing else it's downright rude!
