Received this in an e-mail and couldn't get the video to work on their website. This is apparently a horror movie using the title Samhain, and I'm wondering how much it will contribute to the negative stereotype of pagans and witches.

Two American tourists on a romantic camping trip are
brutally murdered.

A few days later, during the ancient festival of
SAMHAIN, a group of American University students moves
in a beautiful cottage, surrounded by a
lush forest and a majestic lake -- They are here to
learn about the rituals of the Ancient Druids and
other Celtic legends...

In the remains of an abandoned copper mine, lives the
ancestors of an incestuous clan of cannibals. Stalked
by a hulking, disfigured mutant, the students and
their chaperone are in for the most harrowing time of
their young lives. And keeping their heads on their
necks will become their main concern...

Well, from the description, it sounds like it's sure to be a very Pagan-friendly and well-researched film with a goal of dispelling the ignorance surrounding Pagan practices.

And Ewwwwww.....:sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: ...that was the goriest trailer I've ever seen!

Slash and Trash film...*shrugs*...it's not even on the level of Blair Witch and as far as I can tell has nothing to do with Samhain other than it takes place in Ireland and the students are supposed to be studying pagans and druids.

Probably not..Because they actually have *gasp* nudity *gasp* in the trailer...


Then again, when Aqua had commercials out for their new CD a while back, and was showing clips from the music videos, they had some guy reading an adult magazine with nudity on the cover. It was a long time before they got that censored. :rotfl: (Not sure if anyone else noticed that. :rolleyes: )

Upo seeing the last half of I Know What You Did Last Summer, I was reminded why I hate most horror flicks. Blood and guts? Not a problem. Big ugly critter popping out of the dark? Piece of cake. Characters so stupid you wonder how they survived long enough to hit puberty? That I have a problem with. If I had an antagonist like that on my case, the very first thought that would cross my mind is "Where's my gun?" The second thought would be, "Which one do I want to use?" If he's a slasher, perhaps my male pride would get the better of me and I would choose one of my swords. An axe murderer? Hhhmmm... reaches for the Viking axe on the wall... Oh, to hell with it. Gimme the 12 gauge. I'll mop up with the .45. Did it never occur to any of these idiots to grab a damn baseball bat? A tire iron? A crow bar? In I Know What You Did just about any impliment would have been adequate for the task. I mean, these people are too stupid to know they ought to lock their doors.

The Blair Witch Project: Cool ending. Gave me a few chills. But, honestly, there's nothing funnier than watching city folk in the woods (especially at night). It never seemed to cross their minds that a compass and a map might have been a wise investment. Also, learning how to read them can come in handy (The compass is broken. It only points north!). If you know you're being stalked, would it not make sense to take turns standing watch at night? If you're too dumb to bring even a pocket knife into the woods with you, are you also too dumb to pick up a nice, solid stick? *shakes head and hisses in a Jack Palance rasp, "city folk."*

Exactly how did the guy in Texas Chainsaw Massacre sneak up on his victims? I have never, I mean never, seen a chainsaw that starts on the first pull. And yet here he is, popping out from behind trees, chainsaw going at full throttle, confronting people who go into the woods at night and unarmed. I have a very hard time feeling sorry for these people. Just how stupid do you have to be to go into a place most people find a bit creepy without any sort of defense, unless, of course, your idea of defense is cross country marathon in spike heels in the dark. Personally, I think they do such a marvelous job of setting themselve up they deserve to get slashed/eaten/dissolved/enslaved. Darwin has spoken. Idiots.
