What is a major keys in knowing if your young child is psychic or a sensitive or a medium?

I am not a parent but there are certain things I have become aware of in the children of friends and family...
I think that most children are more sensitive than adults but sadly their powers fade as they grow in a society which does not recognise or value such talents. There are two things in particular which I feel can be signs of higher psychic awareness; invisible friends and unexplained leaps of perception or insight.

Invisible friends have always facinated me. I dare say many invisible friends might just be the workings of the imagination; but often I think it is more. I take it seriously when children talk about their invisible friends and try to find out who those friends are and how they interact with them.

By unexplained leaps of perception or insight, I mean when a child says or does something which it is unlikely they could have learned from their environment. This could be understanding a word or concept that has not been explained to them, maybe talking about something that has happened to a family member or friend which they have not been told about, or perhaps even speaking words in another language. Or it could be something more abstract. For example I was once visiting an aunt who has a child who was at that time five years old. I wouldn't say that I was especially close to either of them and had certainly never discussed my spiritual beliefs with them. While I was there the little boy's goldfish died and we made a little funeral for it in the garden. We asked the boy if he would like to say a little prayer as we buried the fish in the ground, and he did. But then he turned to me and asked if we should bury a stone or crystal beside the fish to light his way to the next world. My aunt looked at me and we both looked at the boy. It was such an odd concept for him to come up with out of the blue. And why should he assume 'I' would be the best person to ask about such things since, as I said before, I hadn't really talked about my spiritual leanings with either of them?

So I think any jump in perception can be a possible sign of psychic ability.

invisable friends:uhhuhuh:
and believable stories with names not normal ones and first and last ones
identifying and predicting things without knowing about them

I think they key to finding out if they are is not just talking to them..but listening and watching them too especilly when they arent aware that you are

Depends on the age of the child for one.

With my youngest, she's only 16mos. She can't quite talk yet, but she seemed to recognize me from the get go, and hasn't had regular baby moments, like making strange. She also seemed to figure out movement pretty quickly, unlike my first little one, and she seems to be rather independant. Well okay both of them have the independance trait. As I'm typing this the youngest is downstairs playing with toys, and the oldest is putting on another show to watch. My oldest is 4.

Basically, you should just be able to look and them and recognize it, they might show skills well before their age, my oldest shows maturity levels much higher than her age, and my youngest seems to feel like a big kid in a little kids body.

I hope that helps!

Blessings,
Kaliel

I have a little girl,(age 9), she is a beautiful child, extremely sensitive, and very aware!
From the age of 2 she had invisible friends, also spoke of past lives.
I had not developed then, and didn't understand. although i never supressed her.
I took the Reiki pathway, and i believe i developed for her!
They are very special children, with enormous compassion, she very often gives me messages from past loved ones, and guides.
we have a very great past life bond, and she is knowing beyond her years!
You see the wisdom within these little ones, they have come to teach of love, and they light our way!!:)

I think one of the most important keys in child development especially for psychic ability is listening. When they have something to say, be it adventures for the day, their friends, insights, what-have-you. Just listen. Little signs and keys will pop up from there.

Apparently when I was a child I had several invisible friends. I would also tell my mother about balls of colored light that would float above my bed.

I would also tell her about events that I saw happening prior to them occurring.

Most children are much smarter than we adults give them credit for. It is very important not to react with fear, and to give them the tools to grow, and the credit for their intelligence.
