In another thread someone mentioned decks that have a re-named Devil card. I can't seem to find a comprehensive list anywhere, so I thought perhaps we'd create one!
So, here are 3 questions:
1. What decks to you have (or know of) that have re-named Major cards? (Devil or otherwise)?
2. Which cards in that deck have been re-named? What are they called instead of the traditional name?
3. Are the Court Cards also re-named? If so, what are they called?
Thanks for your help, guys! :hahugh:

Hmmm...let's see...
In the Haindl deck, Temperance becomes Alchemy, Justice becomes Aeon, The World becomes The Universe.
The court cards are the King, Queen, Prince and Princess
In the Gendron deck, the Hanged Man is the Hanged One, the Devil is the Deceiver.
The court cards are also King, Queen, Prince and Princess
In the Archeon Tarot, the court cards are King, Queen, Knight and Herald.
Those are the ones I know offhand from the tarot decks that I've had.

The Medicine Woman deck renames all of the majors and also reworks the minors to fit with the artist/author's feminine shamanic vision ... cups become bowls, pentacles become stones, swords are arrows, and wands are pipes. The Court cards are also renamed. The Fool is Seed, Magician is Resources. It's a pretty powerful deck to work with.
Full deck images are available here (http://taroteca.multiply.com/photos/album/68/Medicine_Woman)
The Druidcraft (http://taroteca.multiply.com/photos/album/370/Druid_Craft)retitles a couple of the majors to be more in keeping with Celtic Lore. The Empress and Emperor become The Lady and The Lord, Hierophant is the High Priest, Temperance becomes Fferryllt, The Devil is Cernunnos, Judgement is Rebirth.
I think that the Cannon-Reed Witches' Tarot renames The Devil as The Horned One.
Those are the three that come to mind immediately.

Most of the one's I immediately thought of have already been listed...
If I remember right, Celtic Dragon Tarot by Lisa Hunt and DJ Conway has the Devil listed as Chains, or something similar.

Clive Barett's Egyptian deck has the Court Cards as Princess, Prince
The Mystic Faeire Tarot has Knave instead of Page.
The Goddess tarot was already mentioned so I will see what else I can find in my books :D

Most of the major arcana in the Tarot de Paris is renamed. The Devil is "Energy" and Death is "The Crossing," which I think are better since they're much less... dramatic.
The court cards are King, Queen, Stallion and Spirit, and the minor arcana suits are named after the elements instead of tools (except "earth" is called "matter").

The Motherpeace Tarot has Shaman, Priestess, Son and Daughter for the Court Cards.
and the Zerner-Farber Tarot is another with Princess instead of Page.
