I'm very new to the traditions and everything, haven't even made an altar yet. Soon, I'm going to be moving in with a friend and a couple of people she knows. We'll all be pushed together(4 or 5 people in a small 2 bedroom apartment). I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to how I could go about my rituals or spells and the such without it creating a problem with my new roommates. Because of schedualing and lack of time I won't be able to really leave the apartment to do these things, and I don't really know how I could do it in such a cramped place without creating a problem.
Any help/advice would be very muchly apperciated. Thankee all!
Have a wonderfull day.

Do you have an isolated area nearby, maybe a park or a gazebo or a patio or something, where you could "do your thing" without imposing yourself upon anyone else? Go there. :) Make your altar portable - carry a blanket, candles, and whatever other items you want in a backpack, so that you can simply take it with you wherever you go to Commune.

My advice, if you REALLY don't have anywhere to go at all (even something like Phoenix said), you can always make an alter that you can take out and put away each time you need it.
Get a box, and all your items, store the items in the box. When you need them, place an alter cloth over the box, set up your items, and there you go :).

When I was living with a roommate at one point a small drop leave desk was my altar. I set up inside the desk and kept is close when I wasn't in the room, or even locked when my one roommate got noisy. I also had a small wooden toy type closet that was painted and decorated to hold jewelry. I re-did it for a small altar with doors to close... it worked fine too until I got the lady desk. Remember we deal with symbols alot, so a rock, shell, feather, small wood scultpture, whatever, even a wall hanging with pockets holding our small elements etc. can be a reminder of our faith and honor the Goddess. Thank you both, those are good ideas. It's nice knowin that people are around to help with all of these things, or even just to talk. I've been looking for something like this forum for a long time. Thanks again! Bright Blessings!
