So, for Samhain we had this great wonderful bonfire. Some of the wood we put on (a startling amount of it) sent up these long-lived incredible showers of sparks straight up into the night. It was probably just decades of pesticide on the firewood at the farm, but it was beautiful nonetheless.

Afterward, I was staring into the dying embers. First I saw a face. It was two slanted eyes and what appeared to be a fragment of jaw with the bottom front teeth (seriously, with the red emberglow they looked just like broken dentures). As soon as it registered to me that it looked like a face, a triangular bit of wood flew over and landed right where the nose should be. Eventually it faded. First one eye, then the nose, then another eye. I didn't keep close watch to see when those eerie teeth went away.

After that, the tiny pieces of wood all looked like people buried under rubble. There were well-formed faces, tiny hands complete with fingers, and what looked like fallen books all over them. It was like they were reaching out of the rubble of an earthquake under a library or something. It was unsettling.

However, there was one bright spot. (Harr harr, fire? Bright? Get it?) There was one perfect beautiful cosmo blossom (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/Yadali/cosmo.jpg). It was immense compared to all the tiny people. Compared to them it was the size of a room, and the whole bizarre assembly just lay there gleaming orange and yellow and red in shifting hues in the dark.

Does anybody have any insight into this? It was the divination period, but I've got no background in causmomancy, and don't even know where to look up what means what. Ideas?

What you need to apply is in-fact how YOU feel about such things, and less of a type of divination.

How did you feel -- what thoughts came up, what did it remind you of, what places in your life or your plans, or history or ...

Because the messages that come to YOU during a time like that will give you the message you need. Remember to journal stuff down, because your answers are not always instant.

The lesson could instead be you learning, how to interp your pics :)

and that takes time

I'm much better at interpreting dreams by that method than I am at interpreting this. For some reason it isn't the same, because all I'm getting is that this is literal.

I'm shy of saying, "I predict a disaster in a library or text archive of some sort," because when I dream about things it's symbolic. But I can't think of too much about this that can be interpreted another way. I was hoping for some perspective from other people to complement my own.

The bit I get off this is something like, being overwhelmed by knowledge.
the people buried in the books.

The flower shape at the end sounds hopeful though, so perhaps it's a temporary burdening.
