I saw the report on TV.
It's a great idea, but I'm afraid the cost may
prevent some women from buying it:(
After all, watching your drink is cheaper.
Second,
I think it might be OK to use in a bar,
but how many women would use
it at a private party?
How many would use it when it's needed the most,
when your alone with a man.
Would you want to have him watch you test your drink?
Could you get the chance to do it without him watching?
I think too many women would have a false sense of
security.
Also they'd back out of using it if there was a
chance they'd be caught doing it.
It's safer to NEVER leave your drink
(any type of drink) unattended!

Did I miss the part about the cost??? I must've, cause I didn't understand.
However, I think it's a great idea, to go along with the buddy system and plain common sense.
I look back at my college days and shiver. My friends and I at times were VERY stupid...I can't tell you how many times, i would've walked home alone. I was lucky.....stupid luck at that.

I think I saw it on The View.
Each test strip will cost more than $1 each.
That may not sound like a lot of money,
but the strips come in multi packs.
If you frequent clubs, the cost may rack up
if you tend not to watch your drink.
Times are different and women (and men) need to use
A LOT of common sense!

I remember reading an article about a month or so ago, where women had come up with the idea of putting some sort of knockout drug on their breasts, then baring them and letting guys lick them. A couple guys woke up bereft of their wallet and their car as a result of this.
It's a sad day when a guy can't safely lick the freely-offered bosom of a total stranger. . .
Anyway, $1 is a small price to pay for the peace of mind. :) Most contraceptives cost more than that. And absolutely test the drink right in the guy's face if you have to - if the guy wants to throw a fit about it, his motives are immediately suspect.

I think most college women will gladly spend $1 a pack. I wouldn't be surprised if the college had giveaways for them either.
Schools give out condoms why not these?

Not a dollar a pack.
Almost two dollars per test.
The test strips come in packs of 10 (I think).
Yes, I expect there will be some give aways of them
but no one should rely on getting freebies.
They are a good tool, but are not meant to replace
common sense and good judgement.

This article states the cost at 40 cents a coaster and about 95% effective.

:p I used to be a very bad, bad girl. I remember the days when I would have thanked a guy for slipping me the drugs. :p
But seriously, I'm glad I'm still alive and unharmed to be able to joke about it. These do sound like a good idea. It's a shame that it's come to this, though.
