could anyone tell me some possible divinatory meanings of the constellation Cassiopeia?

Funny you should ask! :) The only place I've ever really seen anything like that is in a book called "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need", in the section on Sun Sign decanates (each sign has 3). But this book gives a constellation to "symbolize" each decanate and the one for the third decanate of Aries (mine) is Cassiopeia. Doesn't really go into much detail though. Here's what it says...

The Decanates of Aries
Third Decanate April 11-19
Keyword: Foresight
Planetary Subruler: Jupiter
Constellation: Cassiopeia, a beautiful queen seated on her throne, who symbolizes good judgement. Down through the ages she has been a celestial guide to travelers.

However I seem to recall something about the actual Cassiopeia of Greek (? not really sure on this...) being punished by the gods for her vanity or some such thing. Don't remember how she got placed in the heavens as a constellation though... I'll have to brush up on my mythology a little. :)

it's that myth that had me worried that it was a very bad sign....

but the idea about her symbolizing good judgement and being a guide to travelers makes a lot of sense in my situation.

thanks so very much...i've been dying to find this out!
