You're not the only one. I don't follow an exclusively faerie path, but they won't leave me alone either :D

There were quite a few followers of Anderson Fairie Witchcraft here a few years ago, I wonder what happened to them all hmmm

Just a quick question. When you say faerie which version of the fae do you use? The victorian flower faerish type or the older more traditional version of the fae?

So may I ask, how do you know you are making faerie contact? Do you see them, feel them, hear them, or is it something more mental like visualise them? I'm rather curious, having never had any contact myself (or at least not to my knowledge).

I have heard , smelled , seen and communicated with them . And there is more than one form of faerie . There are several different traditions I know . There are etherial like faerie and ancient wood elves type . I am studying more and have just found out tehre are 11 planes of existance for faeries . some are small , some are huge , some are just light . Like our own existance , they have there own that is simular . Except they control different elements etc . I c ould go on all night . But yes I am talking of a faerie known and unknown to most humans , there history has been forgotten .

You are either of faerie and know(when I sya know you have had some contact with them and know some of there secrets etc) or you are not because you do not believe or have not had contact , therefore how would you concieve to believe . .

I have found out they have there own language etc... It sounds more like vibrations in some forms . I use faerie in my creative work , they guide me along my path in creation and living in harmony with the beings around me , whether human or not , or just nature . I am still learning and am no expert , but I do know they exist . Some things in our world have b een taught by old wives tales just like everything else unfortunatly .

Yes they do take care of nature and some even humans . They can be called upon in magic , have been known to give gifts(these are the more human like faeries that are earth formed ) And they have massive healing powers .

Anyhow I am babbling but I hope I answered someones questions .

Blessings ,
Tytania

Could anyone recommend any good books or websites?

I will have alook at my shelf and let you know . Also good places to start are faerie forums , just google it . Put in faerie forums or faerie websites , but I would start with forums . There used to be a good website but they took it down due to too many spammers . If you are interested in art , the faerie society forums is a good place , there might also be some more thatn that . And Enchanted Folk is another good one , they have faerie radio as well as talking about real faerie . There is a good froud book too . But let me have a look at my book shelf and i will get back to you .

I would very much like to look into this, but at the same time I'm pretty sure my faerie side is in hiding so it might not be a good idea.

Either way getting some tips on what exactly to do to get started couldn't hurt

we have a ton of mushrooms in my yard during the season, so i've come to believe that i'm being watched...

I think I've had a faerie experience once... although I was a bit, erm, high. But I was asking for guidance and I was surrounded by tiny, twinkling lights that approached me and eventually left after I asked for their help.

It hasn't happened again but it was a very peaceful experience. :)

Fairies have been a huge part of my life for 20 yrs now....I feel their energies around plants....the things I believe of fairies, I have never found in a book but they are sooooo real to me...

yes a Ted Andrews book on Fairies....I personally do not like Froud but most people do....

I live in a place which is very close to the Otherworld, so I feel Elementals around me all the time, especially in the Woodland parts of my gardens, and they are not just Fae.
I do have Fae in my Gardens, and I love them, so alot of the plants I grow are Fairy plants, like Foxgloves, Strawberries and Marigolds. I can feel their magic weaved all over my Garden, which helps everything to be strong and healthy, so I always give presents in return for their help, and declare that everything I do in my Gardens is to please them, as well as me.
I also work with other Elementals, like a 500 year old Oak Dryad that protects my whole estate...

I am interested in working with them, but don't as of yet. Just leaning as much as I can. :cutie:

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd ask this in here.

What exactly is a faery? I see so many different answers to this it's mindboggling. If I'm worshiping the Divine in a very animistic sense (e.g. nature spirits) am I in essence working with what some people call faeries?

Speaking from *my* Tradition , EarthWalker...

There are different Faery...

Nature Spirits being what *my* Tradition , call "middle
world" Faery...called Fairy...

There are Upper World , And Lower World Faery , as well...

We know Faery , in what might be termed...

A particle , and wave , together...

Popping in and out of existence...here...:smileroll

this is interesting. I haven't discovered paths along with faeries yet although I do communicate with several admittedly sometimes through meditation and sometimes when they're just being nosy lol. Any tips or pointers on where to begin in following a path along with faeries? I get a lot of faerie related rhymes or prose sometimes if I'm focusing on creatively and faeries tend to show up a lot in my verse poetry as well ... so any thoughts would be most appreciative on how to begin and where to start. Its weird though, recently I was given a memory which for me is a long standing memory... and the reader picked up on that there was 2 children in the memory as well as a potent lilac smell. I recently deduced that the tree I was climbing was an apple tree.... an oldish one and the child may have been the spirit of the tree or a friend who I haven't thought about yet. So any tips on where to begin with following a faerie path would be appreciative.

Froud's faeries are more mischievous. I asked the cards to be cryptic and their messages come out as blunt lol - probably asked for it on my part - but that's there way I suppose of being cheeky. Not really read any on ted andrew's faeries though, tend to think of him as more of an animal person.
