Hating your job?

My husband hates his job big time. For many, many reasons. he is looking for another one right now, but so far hasn't had too much luck. he deosn't know what he would love doing everyday. And now he is looking for all sorts of excuses to get off work. He even offered to take me when I go for x-rays tomorrow! What is up with that? lol!

I know more people who hate their jobs than love them, I think. How about you?

I like my job - I just wish it would let me move around a bit more. :) I join the service to see the world, and they stick me in Alabama. Go figure. . .

I'm lucky to have recently started a job that I actually did as a volunteer for a year. I've taken on a lot more responsibilities as a paid employee, but I love it.

I used to like my job. But I feel really dis-illusioned right now. It could be the climate here (we're in a cash flow downturn right now).

I've been trying to figure out what I want to do. I feel like I'm in a rut. I just wish I could figure out other than this secretarial stuff, what else I'm good at. *shrug*

I like my job here at MW, though! Does that count?

i get bored of what i do, but am lucky... i have a job, and thye pretty much spoil me... even if its corporate crap day in and day out...

Eh, my job is a work-study job so the hours are great and the pay's almost decent. So, basically it's just a paycheck. I can deal.

I love my job and would probably do it for free, but don't tell my boss, as I really need the money!

I enjoy my job.
But there are no benfits.
My major perk is I have no problems getting off work. (Although I'm careful not to take advantage of that.)
If I come in late that's not a problem either....as far as being reprimanded for it....but it does cut into my paycheck.

I enjoy my job. I sit for 8 hours in front of a computer and piddle online while telling people how dumb they are because they don't have their tv on. ;)

I wouldn't do this for free..... but I like it well enough.

I love my job I get to take beautiful art or pictures or family treasures and make them even more beautiful by framing them :) plus I get a discount on my craft supplies

At least it did for me. Two years ago I Hated (yes, with a capitol H) my job to the point it was making me physically ill. I was seriously considering the fact that I was going to end up on some kind of stress leave. I took a two week vacation that didn't seem to help at all. The entire time I dreaded that I would have to go back to work. I can honestly say that I was completely miserable.

Then I decided that I didn't want to spend every single day like this. I tried to focus on the good things about my job and the realization that saved me was that I work with an awesome group of people. My co-workers genuinely care about each other and we work together as a team. I started facing each day with the idea I was going to spend it with these wonderful people, and I stopped focusing on the drudgery of my actual work.

Today, I can still become frustrated and extremely stressed out over the workload, which at times is really more than one person can accomplish in one day, but I look forward to going into the office to see my co-workers. I have a feeling that I am truly fortunate.

Annika, that is great that you were able to do that. I wish there was some way I could subliminally get my hubby to realize some of the good that is at his job. ;)

I like my job, with the exception of the lessons I have with some really nasty and insolent students. But I've only been working for a month, after 10 years I may hate it;) .

I love my job and would even do it if i didn't get paid.......oh right half the time i do!!!
I do love my job, though I could do without a few of the other workers and getting paid on time would be a plus. I work with animals what could be better than that. I help with surgeries and do treatments to make the little angels feel better.

Sad thing is my Boss just announced that in 2 years he's done with the practice and moving to california. I don't know what i'll do. I've worked there for 16 years. I do a lot of things no other vet will allow me to do..... I don't have an official license. Nothing Illegal just not done in most practices.
