A BURGLAR was caught red-handed after he fell asleep in a house he had broken into. Carlos Delgardo, 26, only woke as he was placed in handcuffs by police. Now, he has been jailed for two years after he broke into Kathleen Fleming's home in Cambridge Street, west Hull.
Ms Fleming, who lives with her teenage son, did not hear Delgardo break-in. She was watching TV while her son played computer games in the next room. It was only when she went to bed at 9.30pm that she found Delgardo asleep in her bedroom clutching a handful of wallets and purses. He did not wake until handcuffs were placed on his wrists. He then asked officers: "Where am I?"
