A six-year-old albino girl in Burundi has been found dead with her head and limbs removed, in the latest killing linked to ritual medicine.
Albinos in the region have been targeted because of a belief peddled by witchdoctors that their body parts can be used for magic potions.
The girl, who was attacked on Sunday, was the sixth person with albinism to be killed in Burundi since September.
People are sick. :thumbsdow

Yes, well that's beyond amazing... breaching every previous possible constraint on human capability, sometimes.

Human beings are capable of the darkest behavior on the planet. Often sent on these dark missions by "The CHURCH," in one way or another.

it makes me think of this article i read:
So how many monkeys would you have to own before you couldn't remember their names? At what point, in your mind, do your beloved pets become just a faceless sea of monkey? Even though each one is every bit the monkey Slappy was, there's a certain point where you will no longer really care if one of them dies.

its the only thing i can think off when I hear these stories of senseless violence.

Yes, we are desensitized to this violence and mayhem, thanks to the interesting way the "media" send it out.

What comes in to our life and influences us? From birth for the largest part, it is the media influence coming at us from every direction. To the point where we grow sicker and more degraded by the day.
I think that "Witchcraft" is being attacked because of the fact that, for the most part, we are educated. We "know" things that many folks do not. That is threatening to the nth degree to the "churches" that hold court over the ignorant peasants.

i think witchcraft is attacked because yes people are programmed by mainstream religon into beliving we are all slaughtering small animals and children for evil deeds, (sarcastic example) and because this crime has been linked to witchcraft and because people will belive what they read 99% of the time, bingo there beliefs are justified.
i dont like the media, its a inacurate bed of propaganda and scare mongering most of the time.

This isn't all that new. Even in ancient times albino animals were considered to be divinely special, not too surprisingly that the connotations were carried over to albino people as well. The albino humans who had well connected family members became religious leaders, the rest were killed.
