--Given my layout and reading, am I reading too much into what I cast?
--Has anyone used the runes for this purpose?
--Is it practical or disrespectful (to use them for something that could be construed as menial)?
Topic Explanation/ Story: (You can skip the black parts. Red words are the most important parts.)
Gather round, kids. It's story time.
I needed to find my study abroad transcript for JET (Teaching English in Japan. My job is looking uncertain and I want to finally pursue my dream). I thought I knew what it looked like and I thought I knew where it probably could have been. As I began pulling out folders, it slowly then quickly occurred to me that this was not going to be as easy as I though. After all the drawers, folders, and boxes inside had been unceremoniously dumped and waded through, I proceeded to bring in all the bins I could from my storage closet.
In short order, I had paper chaos and panic. I thought, "I know I'll use my necklace as a pendulum." I google pendulum divination. After a few failed attempts at getting anywhere, I knew it was time to bring in the big dogs: the runes.
But I didn't have time for layouts and...layouts and patience! I shook the bag thinking only of my transcript and dumped like days of old...
Only to realize, "SHIT! I don't have the meanings memorized." So, I pace and end up back in my bedroom closet to search paper by paper because I knew it had to be there. Result?
I find it.
Okay, now I have time to look at my runes:
The Reading:
The four at the bottom tell me: "You lost something, you can't find it, you're freaking out, but don't worry about it some good will come from this."
Eiwhaz and Sowilo tell me: "You are really tearing your house a part... Damn good it will do you. "
Wunjo and Isa (partially on top) tell me: "You're are going to flip out when you find it. Shanti (Peace) and tian (focus: An Indian guy at my job would say this to another coworker when she was freaking out.)
Lagu and Fehu tell me: "You're going in circles and you're not finding anything..."
Dagaz: "HEY! Is this what you're looking for?? :heybaby:"
Crazy thing?
See the crude layout of my apartment... The pink dot is my hallway where I cast the lot. The blue dot is my bedroom closet were I found my transcript.
The four would have been in my living room (where I would have dumped everything from my storage closet).
Fehu and lagu are where I cast.
Eiwhaz and sowilo are in my kitchen and dining room.
Dagaz is in my closet.
Wunjo and Isa are outside.
From a standing position facing my bedroom/closet, I clearly saw that Dagaz wasn't just the rune closest to the closet but it was "IN" my closet. The whole layout landed like a map. I screamed, ran, and hugged my kitty. I kowtowed to the runes and thanked them copiously even though I didn't read the runes (But they should be used to me ignoring them when I know I shouldn't).
Scared the hell out of me.
I'm typically a skeptic but I... I don't feel like I can just call this coincidence.
