Blargh. I am in such a rut. I am not going to bore you all with the details, I love you all to much to do this  to you. :D

But I just feel blah, physically, mentally and spiritually. I had thought that the change of seasons would jump start me again, but it hasn't. I thought getting back into the routine of the kids being in school would help- no luck there either.

Is anyone else in a rut? And how do you get yourself out of it?

:( I definitely know where you're coming from, hon. I find when I get to feeling this way, that changing some aspect of my life helps, whether it be redecorating my house, getting a different hairstyle or picking up and moving ~ depending on the depths of the rut I was in at the time. Or, I'd start something new ~ taking a painting class, walking in the mornings, or giving myself a 'me day' - going off by myself and doing whatever I feel like.

Also, try examining why you feel that you're in a rut and if there's anything you can do to alleviate the cause(s).

Feel free to PM me anytime if you feel like chatting/venting. (((chryssi)))

Do something absolutely crazy and unexpected! Do something that you've always wanted to do but never had the guts to.

Or you can start small. I know that yoga helped get me through a rut or two in my routine. Plus yoga makes you feel really good about yourself. I highly recommend something physical. Exercise and just moving about can allieviate depression, "blah" moods, and fatigue.

Maybe you need a change in your diet? Try going to a day spa or doing something "selfish" like a new haircut or a massage.

Call an old friend that you haven't spoken to in ages.

Maybe you should meditate or do a ritual or spell. Join a club or pick up a skill that you'd like to master.

Just become passionate about something, even if you're not passionate about it forever. Something's gotta occupy your time, why not make it something you really like?

Good luck! *hugs*

Oh Hon, I hear ya! (((((((((((YOU)))))))))))))))). One thing that helps me when I'm in a rut, is physical excercise. I don't go nuts. Just taking long walks seems to help. Take time, to pamper yourself. Get a new hairstyle, dress up a bit, for no particular reason, something sexy. I did this yesterday, myself. I put on a skirt, a nice blouse, hoes, and heels, jewlery etc, did my hair and makeup, and walked down to the supermarket dressed like that. LOL. Sure, people thought I was nuts. And John asked why I was dressed up, when he got home, but..it made ME feel better, about myself! Try to find a new, affordable hobby. That's also helping me. I went to the craft store, and picked up some beads. I've started making bead anklets, and bracelets. They're not glamourous, but..it gives me something to do :) Baking has also been therapeautic for me when I feel depressed. I just baked an apple pie last night.

I wish you luck, sweetie, and hope you're feeling better soon!

I hear you, Chryssi ((((((((HUGS)))))))) :heartthro

Usually I'm too unmotivated to do much of anything, so I just sit around and wait it out. (Probably not the best thing ever  )

But I hope you get out of this rut soon. :)

I'm with you on this one Flaire... I know that I SHOULD get up off my backside and do something when I feel like that, but I just can't. I'm having one of those days today. I should do the washing up, tidy, do my yoga... but I can't be bothered....

I'm going through one of those right now. I suffer from clinical depression and it's hard to even get out of bed in the past week, but I'm not letting it beat me. I have a silly songs CD that I made and usually that perks me up in the mornings. I also have a full-spectrum light that I turn on right when I wake up and it makes me feel a little better.

Have you been to the doctor, maybe you have a chemical imbalance like I do. It's worth a shot.

ooooo it's raining!. I love it when it rains! (Cept when you're playing ball that is)
