The imagery:

Summertime; a vast meadow bordered by thick forests. A woman on a pure white, powerful horse, galloping towards the viewer. She appears to be wearing fabric with leather over it; the impression is of deep reds/russets, gold-ish/bronzey trims, and light colored cloth. She carries a wood staff in her right hand and the reins in her left. She has leather boots on, also a deep reddish color. Her hair is a lighter brown with lighter streaks.

She seems to come towards the viewer for a long time, longer than it would take in real time to cover the amount of ground from forest to viewer, across the meadow. When she is near, she stops, thumps the staff on the ground firmly and looks directly at the viewer.

Impressions, thoughts? Does this jump out at anyone instantly as a specific goddess or person?

In Irish mythology, I would think of Queen Maeve or Goddess Rhiannon.

Rhiannon is Welsh.

Other choices would be Epona, Gaulish, or Macha, Irish specifically Ulster.

I wouldn't connect Queen Medb specifically with horses myself but ymmv.

I agree with Siannan that it could be Rhiannon. Also it could signify the Mother aspect of the Morigan AKA Triple Goddess. Not sure why... Did she come to you? If so, it could mean you are about to have a child or take on some kind of responsibility?

Thank you all for the replies.

This happened to me in a waking meditative (trance?) state - I was actually soaking in the tub. lol It felt different - it felt like time was suspended during it, and I didn't want it to end.

It was beautiful, but the feeling was definitely that it was a message if some kind, as if she had an 'expectation' of me - almost a challenge, maybe? Not in a bad or confrontational way, though. "Expectation" is the best word to describe it.

It couldn't be about expecting a child, because I had already had a tubal.

I thought about Rhiannon & Epona...but I'm just not sure, and I'm not sure how to pursue this or find out. The sidhe might bear looking into...that actually rang a bell when I read that. I'll also look up the other figures that were mentioned.

Any suggestions on how to understand this deeper? I'm very rusty, and 'seeing' things in this manner is not a common thing for me at all.
