Hi Guys, well the famous medium/psychic John Edward has finally made mainstream Aussie TV.:heartthro :heartthro I have been watching him intently hoping that this guy is for real!:2G: I would love to hear any kind of feedback on John, negative or positive! Also, I am probably asking a bit much, but here I go....is anyone connected to John in anyway? :loveduv: Would love to find out if I could get to see him when he hits us Down Under!

While I don't know him, I did like his show.
Unfortunatly by the time you've watched him about 20 times the awe sort of wears thin. It becomes so much like a re-run:(

I wish you the best on getting a reading!:D

I think at the end of the shows there is information on how to get on the waiting list (I read it's about 3 years long:( )

To get on John's show, you have to call something like the first Saturday of the month between 2 and 5 or someting weird like that...I got to watch him for like a week here, then they changed the time again.

I admit, I have mixed feelings about the guy. I was addicted to the show in the beginning and think the man has an incredible gift, however, he's gone way too commercial for me.

I did see him on Larry King a couple of weeks ago and he was pretty impressive. He actually told one caller, "sorry, I'm getting nothing from you and we have others on the line. Thanks." That was the first time I ever saw him NOT connect with someone. I was shocked.

His book (the first one) is a good read. He's very down to earth, I just think whoever is managing him now is exploiting the whole thing and giving him and psychic/mediums a bad name.

To sum up (lol) I think he's very gifted, but needs to be less "out there" if you know what I mean. :)

I enjoy him, also. Some of the things he says are just good 'people watching'
skills, but some of the other things......
Like how in the world did he come up with the name "Vooslou"(sp?) for some people???? And nailed it right on....
I used to watch regularly, now only once or twice a month. Like WR says, you can get burnt out watching him.
Good luck with your efforts!

I heard somewhere that he gets 13% of all questions right. That's a pretty small average. And the actual show goes for 4 hours, yet the tv show is 1 hour, so he's got a pretty big error margin for tv.

I'm not sure whether he's real or not. But judging by the statistics, I tend to lean towards the latter.

I have to admit, I really really really don't like him. At all.

Qid's mention of statistics doesn't surprise me - I have a couple friends who are channelers and Edwards' mannerisms are nowhere like theirs. He guesses and once in awhile gets somewhere, my friends who channel don't guess, period, they just tell you what they're being told. When a spirit talks to you you don't have to guess what he's saying. If the answers are that unclear to him or that clouded, he shouldn't have a tv show and call himself an expert.

I have friends who are better at channeling then he is, if he's channeling at all instead of just guessing randomly.
