Spirt guides ???

Hi, Just another question really, Have looked into many sites about spirit guides and I'm rather confused.. Do people have more than one? How do you find what your spirit guide is?
Please Help.

I'm pretty sure you can have more than one. I think there is one for every area of your life e.g. One Healer, One Spiritual, One Wisdom, One Emotional.

You can definatly have more than one.. I have well over 10 myself. I believe that they could be a part of one aspect of your life.. but it doesn't have to be that way.

This is my belief.
You have one spirit guide, but several friend/family spirits that guide you.
When you pass, before your next incarnation, you may be someone elses spirit guide. I believe that certain conditions may exist that prevent you from preforming this important duty in the spirit world. For example, if you were cruel in your previous life, you may be passed by for "Guide Duty";)
I also think if you have too many lessons to learn yet, you may have to wait to do this important job.
Either way, everyone has plenty of help from the other side,
the hard part is learning to shut up long enough to hear the messages:D

You can have more then one - some that are with you from past lives or who help you out. You don't really find them as much as they find you - sometimes they show up in meditation or in dreams. If you don't have one don't worry about it, in time you might find out but it's ok if you don't ;)

My spirit guides are also my totems:
the wolf, the raven, my son (long story this one but am willing to share if anyone wants to ask). the owl and the dragon.

I also feel that some of them reside in me as spirits and that I am these creatures in spirit, (IMO and said from personal experiences)

I belive it is quite possible to have more than one spirit guide. Personally. . . I've always seen wolves watching over me. When I was little, I always saw this HUGE wolf, wherever I went, who played with me and protected me. I've begun to see him around again *smiles* Myself, personally, I have always identified with Pumas, that is, Cougars, Mountain Lions.

Ravens have been following me around lately. I think this has something to do with the fact that I'm being yanked toward the asatru path.

I think guides can change over time. :)

I have two guides. My dragon HYSTYPHUS and my kukaburra bird Tully. Tully was my pet when I was in Australia and when he died he became my guide. I think you can have as many as you are in need of sweety.

does anyone know any good sites that deal with the significance of different animal guides? I believe i have a cat spirit, and i would like to know more about it and what the cat signifies.

I put a few sites on here in an Animal Guide Thread Look under Magic and Rituals. It will go over dirrferent animal guides and meaning and a meditation for finding your animal guides. Mine are Bear and Crow they came to me in a meditation though I have personal spirits guides the one I'm closest to see my brother best friend who dead years ago in comes to me in dreams find of keeping me balanced and just checking up on everyone it's a nice little visit each time and I wake up so filled with peace and harmony.

We're trying to find out a lot of information on them so if you come across anything please post there.
