Okay all, I'm not sure exactly where to put this thread so it may be in the wrong spot.

I just got the wii Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit. I'm old, uncool and out of touch when it comes to games so I was wondering if any of you have played this. The problem I'm having is that the vast majority of the songs... Oh my! They are not songs that would be on my list. Now it is very important that you all understand that songs get stuck in my head for days, I learn lyrics very quickly, and I have a very low tolerance for music I don't like. So when I read the song list I just knew I needed some help. Are there other songs for it or can I get different games than the one that came with the band kit?

Oh the addres at the top is what I got if that helps.

Update, I found Guitar Hero III, and Aerosmith games. Bundle comes with World Tour. So is there a I or II?

i think GH I and II might only be for X-Box and PS2. You might want to try rockband instead (don't know if it's out on the Wii though) IMO they have a better songlist, you would have to buy all of the rockband controllers and stuff though I think.

There's like three or four versions. IMO they all suck for music. Eventually you'd think they'll figure out a program so you can use your own music. I've played my daughters a few times, but it hurts my hands. lol But yeah, then the songs got stuck forever, especially when you have to do it over and over.

I had "Talk Dirty To Me" from Poison in my head forever!

Something this decade would be nice. I mean I'm too young to remember some of these songs! They need to make a version that is for teens too. I'm all for letting the old people play but the 20 and under crowd has more time to play IMO. Just saying... it's my kids who want the game not me and my hubby. (although he is pretty excited)

That makes sense. So what is rock band? and I do think that they make it for wii.

Okay, I checked out rockband. It's now rockband II and it is available 12/30/08. But it looks like it uses the same controler thingys as guitar hero. The drum looks the same actually and the guitar looks cooler. And yeah, your right it has a better music selection.

So does anyone know if these two are compatable?

I know the guitar controller is different, and they may use different circuitry, you might want to look that up.

I really doubt that two competing products would make their stuff compatible like that though.
