I noticed something a few weeks ago, and put it aside, but I was looking at my runes last night, and saw it again. So I thought I might share this :)
Kenaz stands for the "K" sound, right? The funny little thing I noticed. . . it's the same shape for the sound "Ku" in Hiragana (one of the Japanese alphabets). Co-incidence or not? (probably :p ) but I thought that was really cool to note.
What do you think? :)

What does "Ku" mean? It's a component of one of the most important Reiki symbols. I'm sick and my tummy is spinning and I can't remember the meaning off the top of my head. Was wondering if the meaning is similar to that of Kenaz.

It's not really surprising... the human brain is pretty universally hardwired...
...and then there's that Ainu thing...
...and the blonde & red haired mummies along the old Silk Road in China...
OK, the Northmen did get around...

ku. . . *Frowns* I don't remember it's meaning as a word. So far as I know, the "letter" ku simply means the phonetic sound "ku" as in "ka, ki, ku, ke, ko" . . . I'll show you a little later if you like :)

That's okay, I'll see if I can find anything in my Reiki materials when I get home. It is a component of the power/activation symbol.

well, it's sort of like. . . I think there may be a word pronounced "ku", but it's probably written with one of the Kanji (chinese characters, the complex pretty one), rather than the alphabet. "Ku" is a letter. . . the way C and Sea sound the same, but if I wrote "I like to sail on the C". . . not quite the same, is it? ;)
