I was checking out the rede when i wondered.......

I was copying the rede into my BOS when i came to the part saying,"Elder be ye Lady's tree; burn it not or cursed ye'll be." First of all, what tree are they talking about....and second, who is the Lady? she's mentioned several times throughout the rede....is she the Goddess?
Also, what is the "blue star on your brow" that is reffered to in the last few stanzas? and lastly, in the last stanza, what exactly are the "eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill"?

Elder is a type of tree and the Lady is the goddess;)

Some believe in drawing a blue star on your forehead during some rituals (ever seen a Christian on Ash Wednesday?)

An it harm none, do what ye will! (8 words)

In other words do anything you want as long as no one (yourself included) are harmed by your actions.

In the future, to search, click the search link near the top of your page, enter some keywords into the top left box (like "blue star"), and click "Perform Search" near the bottom and in the center. The elder is said to be sacred to the Goddess (thus you don't cut it) and the God and Goddess are sometimes called Lord and Lady. The "8 words" bit is of course what Willow_Raindancer said, and are actually supposed to be the rest of that sentence (starting with "8 words..").
