Need energy

Hey, guys, I found out a couple of days ago that my grandfather just had another stroke. I've been told that he's never coming home: he'll either have to be placed in a nursing home or he's going to pass away.

I never really got to know him the way I wanted to, but he's an amazing person.

Any comfort for him would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

I can relate. My grandfather passed away this previous January after surviving many strokes in three years. I think I even said the same words you used....I didn't get to know him as well as I wanted, and he was an absolutely an amazing man.

My heart goes out to you. If he does go to the nursing home, and it happens to be close by, take the opportunity to get to know him if it's possible. If the stroke has left him unable to communicate with you, still spend time with him. Time is the most precious gift we are able to give one another.
