Lately i've been really attracted to goddesses with birds as their patron animals. The thing is, i really don't like birds, they freak me out! So my question is, do you think that maybe they goddesses are trying to tell me something.. or even the birds.. (this kind of sounds crazy.. lol) hope someone can help me.. thanks! :)

Specific birds, or birds in general? Morrigan and Odin are associated with ravens. Odin had two ravens who flew across the lands and returned to him at night to tell what they seen, hugin and munin were the ravens names (thought and memory, if I remember my old norse corectly).
The raven is commonly a messenger of the gods...

Hi, Maiden Zarfirbel!:) Personally, I do believe that the birds are important symbolism. Usually birds are associated with powerful deities. For example, Storm already mentioned the Morrigan and Odin. These deites are tough and remind us to be strong. The Morrigan particularly teaches us to overcome our fears. Perhaps these birds, animals that you invoke fear in you, are telling you to be strong.

What goddesses and birds have been coming into you life?

I think the Northwest (or maybe Southwest?) natives have a deity called Hummingbird Woman. And one of Hera's symbols was the peacock.

Oh you can't forget Athena. The wise owl was the bird associated with clever Athena.

Hera's sacred bird was the peacock.

Nekhbet was a vulture Goddess.

Rhiannon is associated with birds in general.

The Morrigan/Ravens.

Rhiannon and the Morrigan are Celtic goddesses. Maybe you are into that pantheon at the moment. Perhaps the Morrigan is entering more people's lives lately, since Samhain is coming up. Samhain is the sabbat when we celebrate the Morrigan.
