City hit by 'legal to pee' prank

People should ignore signs telling them that it is legal to urinate in certain public places in Nottingham, the city council said.
The signs, which were put up by pranksters in and around Nottingham, are designed to look official.
They feature a toilet sign and include the words: "Public Urination Permitted After 7.30pm".
Nottingham City Council is now urging the public to ignore the notices as it sets about removing them.

Well it makes sense. Why not if it will get cleaned up. No harm done.

I just want to know, or rather I don't want to know, the kind of person who would honestly think these signs were legit. I mean when has the government, any government, ever given people the right to pee in public.

Pee stinks up streets. My city is having this problem right now, especially in the areas where there are lots of homeless people. One shop onwner payed for a bunch of porta potties so the homeless can have a private sanitary place to go to the washroom. Then the city order the shop owner to take them away because he didn't have a zoning permit. But the downtown biz (a government funded organization that helps to clean up and and patrol downtown) is trying to get permission to get the porta potties back.

Who do you think is going to clean it up? The pranksters who lied about the legality of pissing in public? Get real. No one will clean it up, and that's disgusting.

Actually...:bigredgri

Just for the record...:uhhuhuh:

I have been on diuretics for a few years...

And I have not driven a car , since I was 18...look at my age...

So...walking everywhere , and with society over my years ,
changing to become more crazy and selfish...

With those who have abused both public , and private bathrooms
to the point many of them have been removed , or denied usage
of to the general public...even if you are buying something , which
I am not always in the position to do...

Most of my life , I have not had a lot of money...

So...given those considerations , both now , and even before , my
current situation...

And sometimes being caught in a situation , where it was miles
to the next restroom available...

And , being the highly intelligent , and relatively anarchistic
and freedom loving person I am...

Yes , I have discreetly utilized the ground upon which I walk ,
or behind bushes , or behind a building , or alley...

I do not live , nor have I , most of my life , in big cities...

Santa Cruz was the largest...( Ca. )

Now...I feel , and would be more than willing , to take it to
court , as by letter of the law , it pisses me off...

We are animals...among many animals...animals , with a thin
veneer of social graces , which , when imbalanced , can become
social pretentiousness , yet in a state of balance , public manners
can be , and generally are , a good thing , and I support the idea...

Now...given that we are animals , and animals are allowed to , from
all indications , urinate in public , without pee - nalty , and with
that thin veneer of social grace superpositioned by necessity...

I firmly take a stand...( especially while urinating in public )...

And declare my right to piss , without discrimination , utilizing
wise discretion , relating to my proximity to other humans , and
location in spacetime...or , all animals , should be pee - nalized ,
for said offense , equally...

Well...maybe it should have a stinkability clause in there , for a
higher fine on the stink - o - meter scale...:hairred:

Now...to conclude...

This is basically what I have told to the few officers , who have
attempted to interrupt the flow of my activity , until they fully
apprehended the gravity of my situation , laughed , and , as a
fully registered , and documented agent of government , both
local , and state , gave me permission , to finish , and continue
on my merry way...

Much merrier after finishing my release of fluidic pressure , and
making certain my bodily unit was fully drained...

I shall not be forced by any law , to piss in my pants , or down my
legs , due to some thin veneer of social grace...

Discretion , is my only law...in this instance...

( However...this is all stated by someone , who at the young age
of 18 , got drunk , climbed a telephone pole , with no pants on ,
on a dare , and when officers arrived , and commenced to order
me down , subsequently pissed on them...none one item of which
I remembered consciously , of course...but the police report...:bigredgri...
and my friends who got me drunk for the first time...told me so... )

The signs are hilarious. I have to say if you're going off into the woods and you'll not be seen, I can understand having to go real bad and going, but to be honest, I don't want to be walking/driving down the road and seeing someone pissing against a building (or anywhere for that matter), that's just nasty. Besides, it stinks and no one is going to clean that up. Even if it is a normal bodily function, most people don't want to see it being done in public.

There are places in Korea (and maybe Hong Kong/Japan, not sure) that have signs that say "Do not pee here!" Which may or may not indicate that it's okay to pee elsewhere. X3
