Favorite Decks

I have been a user of Universal Rider-Waite for quite some time now. However, I was wondering about the various others types of decks out there. So, here are my questions for you-
What decks so you use?
What is/ are your favorite(s), and why
Do you use certain decks for certain questions, and if so, which?

I have used/are using

Rider-Waite
Daughters Of The Moon
Lord Of The Rings

and 2 handmade decks

I most often use the Lord Of The Rings deck because I just fell in love with it and all the other decks seem boring now :D. I love it so much because of #1 the artwork is amazing, #2 I'm a big fantasy fan and #3 because you can read it in two ways. The images are taken from/inspired by the Lord Of The Rings trilogy and The Hobbit, every card has a short description of the image from one of the books. Sometimes I will do a reading based on those little comments instead of the common meanings of the cards...a 3 card draw can sound like this:

4 of Wands - Gandalf tells Theoden that they must unite against Saruman and Mordor.
3 of Swords - Sam comforts Frodo by the side of Mount Doom after Gollum has taken the Ring along with him into the fiery furnace.
Judgement - Gandalf reveals to Frodo the nature of the forces around him.

In away it sounds like any old fairytale, but there are a lot of symbolism in those short comments and considering the place of each card in the spread, one can get amazingly accurate readings.

Ive got two decks and they are both my favourite ~ I love them both the same! I use my Mystic Deck mostly for friends and famliy readings and my Secret Tarot Deck for personal readings.
I also chose the decks depending on what mood Im in ~ Romantic and girly ~ Mystic
Questionsing and deep ~ Secret
They are both very tradional with there imagery ~
Mystic shows Greek mythology scenes and the Greek Gods and Goddeses! Which I love!
& Mystic shows very 1950's fashionable beautiful figures in very elegant poses ~ which again I am very taken with and love!

so both are quite the same but also are very different for me to read from. With the Mysitc I nearly always give lighter happier readings and with the Secret it can get quite deep and serious!

I have five or six decks. My favorite is the Robin Wood Tarot because of the imagery. I just seem to connect with them. My next favorite is the Rider Waite that I started with. The rest of my deck I just collect. I haven't gotten in to using them yet.

The other decks I have: Witches Tarot, Dragon Tarot, Arthurian Legend Tarot, Cosmic Tribe Tarot, and Tarot Classic.

If I were to read from any of these decks, it would be from the Witches and Dragon Tarots. The other ones stuck me at the time, but after looking through them and trying to work with them, they just don't click with me. I am considering getting two more decks....the Celtic Dragon Tarot and Stick figure Tarot.

Yes, I have the hello kitty tarot! I LOVE IT. I don't use it, but one can use it! It would be great for a young person interested in learning the tarot

They are also black and white drawings, if one was so inclined to color them in one could

As for where to find decks, ebay has TONS! I buy decks from ebay all the time.

As for my decks, I have the Tarot of light and shadow and the Haindl tarot. These are the ones I use.

Goddess Tarot--not that impressed...think I might sell it on ebay
elemental tarot--my first deck that I used, but now I don't use this one
Witches Tarot-cannon and reed--want to sell this one...

and I am currently bidding on the Enochian tarot

I am also interested in the journey home tarot...but it gets bit up too quickly on ebay. They are lovely though

There is a site somewhere on the net, I can't remember the url, that has a tarot deck swaping board. You can list the decks you have and the decks you want. I got rid of the ibis tarot that way...its pretty cool
