The cat is actually trying to open the front door!!!!
He's tried this on interior doors before, but never succeeds. He's got long legs, so when he stretches up, his front paws will just barely reach the doorknob. He knows humans do something with that round thing and the barrier is magickally removed.
Apparently someone isn't agreeing with the idea that he is going to remain an indoor cat.

Who does he think he is, Felix?
I wish you luck! I live in a mobile home and for some reason they make the bedroom doors where there's a few inches of space under them. One of mine was determined to get into my son's room and slid under the door, without getting stuck. And she's not a small cat!

Yup, Trey's cat can stick her paws under the door and grab the carpet on the other side and use her leg as a tool to pop the door open. She is a wiley one!!!

cause cats are cunning and evil, while dogs are loyal, dumb, and good.:p

I had a cat once who tried to open the door that way also. She would sit on a table I had by the door, and whack the knob. She knew that was what made the door open but couldn't make it work. If I had one of those lever door knobs instead of a round one, she would've let herself out any time she wanted. Our kitties are smarter than we give them credit for!

*chuckles* Annika....I think your cat has been talking to Fizzgig (Phoenix's cat).
It's a "let me out this instant" revolution!! :T

*grins* We were having pizza the other night....and Ulath stuck his head into the box so he got swatted (it wasn't closed completely, but just a little bit open)
Then a couple seconds later I hear this scratching noise and lift the top of the lid... There sits Gandalf...happy as a clam munching away on a piece of pizza.
It was pretty hysterical! :T

*laughs* Yeah, in his belly.
He was the only one in the house who liked that pizza too. *shakes head*

My cat regularly helps herself under the kitchen sink. I never know she's there unless I hear the door thump as she goes in or out. She scared the beejeebies out of me one day when I reached for the dish liquid! :rotfl:

My baby also likes to go in and out of the linnen closet. Not sure what he finds so fascinating in there. Oooohhhhh, folded towels and blankets. Maybe he's considering a way to rearrange things so there is a comfy place to sleep.

One of our cats opens sock drawers and steals all the socks. He won't touch anything else...

*grins* In our new house...the cupboards don't latch and Ulath has figured out he can swing on them if he grabs them right!
*shakes head* Cats....almost as strange as their owners. :D
