A couple friends and I want to start a coven, but we don't know how to get it started. We really wish that we could find some more "experienced" pagans in our town but we dont know how, or where to start looking. We want to have our first circle on halloween, but we're still clueless on what we should do. All we want is to be more "involved" in our religion since its is still some-what new to us. So if any one could help us out, maybe give us some tips on what to do, and what-not, i would be greatly appriciative. And even if you know some ideas on how we could go about finding other pagans in our community would be lovely! Thank you!

Along with Witchvox, I'd also *really* strongly recommend the book "Covencraft" by Amber K. (it's been out for quite a while, so you may be able to find a used copy as well.)
It sounds like what you want right now isn't exactly a coven (since that usually implies a bit more organisation and experience and other things that it sounds like you don't quite have yet) as a
study group or open circle (where there'd be a lot less pressure on leadership, it'd be a lot more clear you were all still learning, etc.)
Regardless, Covencraft has lots of advice for either situation, and also talks usefully about things like dealing with group dynamics or interpersonal conflict issues.

actually, http://www.witchvox.net (notice the NET, not COM) is better for networking, since it has the listings on the left side.
CovenCraft is the best book out there for looking at covens, organizations, etc. and thinking about how you want to set things up.

:T I'm an "experienced" pagan in your area! I helped start the pagan community in Claremore and I visit with three open pagan groups in Tulsa. I'm basically solitary but enjoy public rituals and socials. PM me and I can help you find out about scheduled events.
I also recommend Amber K's "Covencraft." Excellent book on all aspects of coven working.
