When I was little, I was convinced that there was a ghost in my house...it did things like screw with the tv and lights, things that can be explained away by blaiming it on power surges, and whatnot.
When I moved away from home, this entity seemed to follow me, except now it was stealing things and putting them in odd places. For example, I lost my hair brush, and it turned up a week later, right outside my bedroom door...I lost some nail polish (in between painting hands, when the bottle was still open), and found it much later in the couch, with the lid tightly secured.
This entity has followed me from place to place, and it has tons of fun taking my stuff. Just when I thought that it had left, it took the car key, which showed up a month later, right beside me on the chair I was sitting in.
I have no idea what it is, but I've taken to calling it my Leprechan, and I expect it to always be with me.
Now, do you think that this is an actual entity, or is it just a lapsed memory on my part? If it does exist, what is it? Does anyone else have similar experiences?

could be a poltergeist, they are usually concentrated and around a person.. some researchers in the feild of parapsychology even say that a poltergeist is a manifestiation of energy that a person subconcisusly lets "free".. hope that made sense

I had very similar experiences in the home where I grew up. Although my entity eventually respected my requests.....such as to shut my bedroom door after it felt the sudden urge to be elsewhere, and to replace needed items it had stolen away. I was very young when I first encountered my "ghost." And through the 10 years I lived in this house I always thought it was a ghost........the spirit of a child, specifically, due to its playfullness and willingness to cooperate with me. When I moved away, I was actually saddened that the ghost didn't follow me, as it had become such a part of my life.

Best of luck figuring out what, or who, your visitor actually is.

I have experiences like that all the time.. things gone missing and turning up in the oddest places.

You have every right and inclination to believe it's a leprochaun. They're liable to do that.. so're brownies, sprites, pixies... ;)

It could be any number of Fae that could do it. Or it could be your run-of-the-mill poltergeist. Some Fae do attach themselves to people.. as mine have to me.

If you want to call it your leprochaun.. go for it! Just ask it to leave your polish alone until you're done. ;)

yes, I have had similar "visits". When I lived in one house I would see shadows move across the room where there should not have been shadows. I chalked it up to the sun going behind a cloud or something for a long time until it really showed itself to me one day. That is something I will never forget.
Then my mom lived in an apartment with a spirit like the one you describe, more playful than anything, and things came up missing quite often.
then there was still another house, I have pictures that cannot be explained from this one. the only thing there were feelings. I never saw anything, but things would rattle and fall, and feelings of dread and fear happened frequently. Alot of experiences for one person I guess, but I am still hoping for more!!!
